Perfect size
I bought two gaming suitcases last min before flying out to Taiwan with the Nintendo switch system. This is the better choice of the two as it is fairly well cushioned and has ample space to bring everything including hdmi cable to hook up to the hotel tv. This suitcase can also fit into the carry on Suit xase.

Great case, but nothing is ever perfect.
This is the only travelling case I've owned for my Switch with its other components, (I do have a regular case for just the Switch is not the same thing as buying something like this) so I can not compare to others at this moment. It arrived in a box as expected which definitely kept it from being damaged along the way from the warehouse to my house. The outside feels like a typical backpack or travelling case would feel like. Inside is a hard styrofoam material with all the shapes cutout for the console, controller, dock, and cords. The material can't easily bend which is both good and bad. It's good because yes, it will definitely hold everything in place as you're travelling around with your items. The bad is, the material warped or was manipulated slightly so that it didn't hug the walls of the case like in the picture, which isn't totally bad as when you put the items in it'll push it for the time being.I tried putting in the Switch first and as I tried I was completely happy that I already put on a glass screen protector because there is no doubt in mind that if I didn't, the screen would be scratched up now in some form because the material pushes so hard against the screen as the main way to keep it in place while travelling. Also, as you can imagine, if you have any armor guards or additional pieces around the console or the joy cons, you will have to take them off first. Something that does make me happy about the Switch cutout on the material is they cut out room so you can put fingers in to grab and pull it out. Unfortunately, I feel as though it's almost too difficult to put the Switch in and to take it out. I would agree that that is the main thing to protect, however I feel like it could have been tweaked in the long run.The joy-con grip controller that comes with the switch easily slides in and out joy cons attached to it do not get in the way of it as such. It is also another tight grip, but that is mostly expected so nothing comes out during travel.Space for the dock is not as tight as the other spaces, but holds it in nice regardless. The two slots for the wrist straps are also tight fits and work well. I imagine they didn't allow room for the literal strap to fit in them because it might have reduced friction in the event that they accidentally slide out. The last cutout is for the power plug which does fit in, but is the easiest to slide around. With all that being said, the actual material also comes out too and if you want to you can make it so it's all one big empty space for other purposes. This is something to bare in mind in case the material somehow loosens up over time or if it's taken out and put back in multiple times during its lifespan and could end up at some point sliding out in a rare and unfortunate scenario. The other aspects of this case are nice; there are plenty of spots for the games to fit and be snug against the flap. The bag against the top of the case is very nice too and can fit additional items, albeit not too many or nothing too big as then it won't close properly.Overall, I like the case and will definitely use it. If anything changes, it can be expected that my review will be altered one way or another. For now, enjoy it for what it is: a travelling / carrying case so that you don't have to either put everything in a bag or keep using the Switch box to move things from place to place like I was.

Best case for total Switch system
I originally purchased the LTGEM EVA Hardcase but was unhappy with how poorly the components fit inside the case, and how little protection it offered. I took a chance on this Smatree, despite its few reviews and purchases, and I'm so glad I did. I think it's the best case out there for the entire Switch system. All the components fit snugly and securely—no danger of anything flying around in here—and unlike the official Nintendo case, the Switch itself is protected from all angles (no button compression, either). My biggest issue with the Nintendo case is that everything seems to be uncovered at the side or top—with this case, your Switch components slide in and stay in. The dock, for example, is in no danger of being snapped, which was a big concern for me with all the other cases. Also a big bonus—with this case, when you're carrying it the Switch is at the top (near the handle) not the bottom, so if you do drop it it's the furthest from the drop. The cut outs are just perfect, and the zipper compartment leaves plenty of room to carry other necessities. It's also a true hard case, feels very durable, and I'm not afraid of the bag dropping or getting jostled around. All in all, everything feels very protected and secure. Forget the other cases out there. This is the winner.

Solid case but clearly just pieced together, left a glue line on my switch
The case itself is actually pretty good. It's possible to deform with some force, but average use leaves it retaining its shape well.My biggest gripes are the removable spacer (in case you have a thick case for it) and the fact that the foam is 2 layers glued together, and the glue got on my screen, leaving a big line on it, after only being in the case for about 12 hours. However, the glue seems to be coming off relatively easily, it's just really annoying to have this happen to my brand new device. (in the photos I had already started to clean them off as that's my first reaction, not taking photos. It did eventually clean off with a little bit of work, but still not something I want to have to do.)The foam is an insert which you can remove easily to reveal just an empty felt-lined container with a Switch Cart flap sewn in.The little gaps to grab the switch out are a bit small to be comfortable for me, but removing the insert (which is held on by the TINIEST little bit of uncut foam, so it's basically flapping around anyways) makes the holder way too loose for my comfort, so it's staying in mine.

All the features I was looking for
I have had other Smatree cases in the past, so when I was looking for a case for my Switch, I concentrated my decision between their two offerings. This case has great build quality in my opinion. Like other Smatree cases, the outer shell is firm and durable, not hard plastic. One of my favorite features of this case is that I can have two joycons, one attached to the console and the other on the gamepad (can't remember exactly what Nintendo named it). There is also a slot for two LR sliders if you are planning on splitting a joycon for two people. One downside to my situation was the size of the zippered storage location above the games. My USB power bank is a bit thick, so it doesn't fit up there when i travel, I typically put the power bank and my USB wall charger in the AC power supply slot because I typically leave my dock at home. Maybe someday I'll get a separate dock set for travel and replace my power bank with a slimmer model so I have full console docking and charging flexability in this case.
