Whistling Tea Kettle Stainless Steel Teapot, Teakettle for Stovetop Induction Stove Top, Fast Boiling Heat Water Tea Pot 2.6 Quart

This looks like a "proper" Tea Kettle ! I just purchased a beautiful new Black electric stove with a glass cooktop and needed to upgrade from my boring Martha Stewart stainless model ... fancy Tea Kettles can be very expensive !! (a la McK Childs) This was EXACTLY what I was looking for & the price was right !The handle may look high ... but no worries; you can still open the spout with your thumb as long as you don't pour from the top/center of it ! But let's face it, you'll be looking at it more than you'll use it and it looks GREAT. : )

This kettle works perfectly.Like any other, in order for whistling to work, 1) don’t overfill, keep water level at least 1/2” or so below spigot opening/hole inside pot, and 2) the cap has to be pushed ALL the way down, and 3) spigot cap has to be closed.Long as that’s done it will whistle—not loud enough to wake neighbors, probably not loud enough to wake sleeping occupants, and not loud enough to supersede blasting tv or stereo—it is loud enough to be heard in the next room long as you’re listening for it.It’s a tea kettle, not a freight train.Also, when not in use, rinse, or if need be wash, it out with hot water, dry it thoroughly inside and out with a towel, and let it set for a bit where insides can be reached by circulating air. I turn mine upside down and leave it propped at an angle in the dish strainer all afternoon a couple times a week. This will keep it from rusting.It’s the same basic stuff you’ll have to do with any tea kettle and the like.Best part, mine is a very durable seeming, cheerful orange color that brightens my kitchen and, literally, brings a smile to my face first thing in the morning.I searched many websites over a couple weeks time, and viewed pretty much every kettle out there before choosing this one. I’ve used it a couple times every day for over a month. Still looks brand new and I expect will continue to do so for many years.Very happy with the choice.

I loved the look of this teapot from the minute I saw it. It looks so cute on my stove top. Imagine my dismay when I filled it for a cup of tea and heard nothing. Nevertheless, I kept using it for a few days and soon I noticed the pink was gone in several places, let me assure you I was very careful not to have the flame come up over the sides while I was heating water. And sadly between those two things the paint and the lack of a whistling teapot this is not going to work for me I would sadly suggest for those looking for a pretty pot to go elsewhere.

I have a convection stove top so it never occurred to me that I could use a kettle on it to boil water. However, having to boil water in the microwave for a "tea party" convinced me to seek out a kettle for my stove.I was delighted not only in the kettle's versatility and ability to work on multiple types of stove tops, but it's very stylish. It's like a piece of art. I purchased a teal kettle and keep it out, so I can admire the design!

After having several electric kettles, we decided to try a regular kettle, but needed on that could work on an induction stove top. This one works perfectly. It is easy to clean and has great structure. If you leave the room you can still hear the whistle. It's the perfect fit for my tea drinking needs and French press coffee.

It is absolutely adorable, good size but it did discolor, after the first use even though I used the lowest flame and made sure it didn’t touch the sides. It’s not too bad though but just so you know

It's beautiful and works perfect to make my tea. Perhaps it's not the best choice for gas stove. Mine is a glass top electric stove and I haven't had any problems with discoloration. It looks the same as when I first received it and I use it everyday.
