Ok but cork is of cheap quality
Rod is great and casts lovely, fit an finish is nice except they use low quality cork with plenty of filler. Just ensure that you don't settle for a questionable handle.

Fantastic Rod for any price
I own a lot of rods, heavy on high end graphite and classic split cane. I wanted a good all around 7w that wouldn’t break the bank and opted for the Path II. I’ve got it paired with a Lamson Liquid 3 pack - bottom line is this is a seriously nice rod for any price. The performance is comparable to much pricier stuff, and that’s no bull. I’ve used it for sea run cutthroat, steelhead, and trout, with wff, sink tip, and full sink lines from Rio and Cortland - the rod has very impressive power and balance - it’ll throw a line a long way, and also handle delicate, in close presentation remarkably well. I couldn’t be happier.

Deceptive ad. Rod I nice
The fly rod is fine but the advertising from Amazon is deceptive. the rod does not come labeled as "Path II" to it'll only be labeled "Path". also the ad shows a rod tube with the reel pouch is incorrect. if you order just the rod you will get a straight tube. I had to call Avid Max to clarify this

Not that great of a rod
Went through 3 of the rods in one year. The rod isn’t very durable and broke during normal use. One broke while stringing the pole, one broke while casting, and one broke while pulling in a 4 inch creek chub. Hard to have a relaxing day on the water when your equipment can’t make it there. Redington’s customer service is terrible and they do not seem to support their products very well. Save your money and buy a moonshine or or is rod. They have great customer service and have never had an issue with their rod quality or similar price.

The Redington Path II Fly Rod is a true Medium Fast Action Rod.
Comparing this rod to what is referred to as a Medium-Fast Action Rod made by Orvis and Sage, IMO, the Path II is comparable to these rod manufacturers boasting Med-Fast action. At 1/4 of the price I can outfit my friends without overspending and instruct knowing consistency of casting techniques and feel.
