VenumElite Boxing Gloves

So, after a year of use these gloves have not shown any signs of wear or tear. Incredibly, the paint is still as vivid and solid as the day I’ve received them a year ago.I rotate between my other gloves bi-daily, and there are times when these aren’t used for at most 2 weeks. One thing that I’m always surprised about is, after coming back to these gloves, how incredibly tailored-made they seem, despite being mass produced. They just fit so incredibly well. The construction is also superb; these don’t feel cheap. Now, I own a pair of Fairtex and Cletos, and still—I’ll gladly use these in place of those any day.Overall, the looks and feel are still incredible. However, even after a year of use, they still feel quite sturdy and stiff, which may be a problem to some with more sensitive hands. As I said in my review a year ago, these gloves aren’t really forgiving for those with heavy hands and poor form. They’re a Striker’s glove. Technical, good form is a must.

I have to admit that I bought these for the looks. I loved the white on white. I did some research and thought these would be decent gloves. As soon as they came, I noticed how flimsy they were. There was little to no wrist support and the padding on the top of the glove was lacking. I returned them and got my money back. For the same price, you can get a decent pair of gloves with better wrist support and padding. I have been boxing for 3 years and I wouldn't recommend these to even a beginner.

I was waiting to write this review, as I wanted to see how well these gloves would hold up over time. I'm happy to say they have held up well. I was especially concerned with whether they would develop an odor over time and the answer is NO! (I've been very careful to dry them well after using and spraying the inside with tea tree oil.) The gloves have great padding for protection and the wrist straps are very supportive. I was hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of gloves but I'm glad I did!

Pretty good gloves for bag work and sparring in my opinion. The material is solid for the price point and will last some time. Is it a "forever" glove, no. But you should not expect something that takes regular beating to be. What I did find problematic for me personally is that for the 16oz my hands, which are in the medium to large range, my fists were literally swimming in them. A lot of extra space above knuckles and top of hand, which not even wraps could fill in entirely. There are gloves out there that are so tight that you can barely get your hands inside much less wraps, so that's the opposite end of the spectrum. This one has room to spare, great for huge hands or super thick wraps. Just something to keep in mind.

Spent a long time looking for gloves and after extensive research and review reading, decided these gloves were the way to go! Look great, initially very supportive and well padded. But after 5 weeks of kickboxing 3-5 times/week, the right glove seems to be collapsing when I punch. It's also causing some wrist rotation and obviously knuckle pain. Figured it was worth spending more for a higher quality glove but it's not what I got. Was so bad in class last night I switched to old Everlasts that the school has!. The outside is holding up very well so far.Chatted with Venum customer service online, and when they realized the were an Amazon purchase, she basically said Bye Bye now, talk to AmazonGoing to buy inner glove wraps and see if it improves a bit.

Love , love the bright pink color with the black! Gloves were comfortable the minute I put them on. No break in period required. I am 5’10”, 200 lbs. I have large hands-wear size 8 in women’s gloves so decided to go with 14 oz in these gloves and the fit is perfect. I also have arthritis in the thumb on the right hand and these gloves are so well padded that I don’t feel any discomfort when I hit the target. I definitely recommend these gloves!

These Venum gloves are worth every dollar. I got the black/white 16 oz gloves. They are super comfy, durable and have great layers of protection. These gloves protect my hands way more than my other Everlast gloves that were 12 oz (lasted only two weeks before they ripped!). I do wrap my hands then I put on the gloves and I don’t have the highest quality 100 lb punching bag. However hitting the bag with the Elite Professional Venum gloves i don’t feel it at all. It’s an awesome product well worth it! Don’t go cheap on gloves, protect your hands trust me! I learned my lesson. I am beginner but anybody can use these gloves.

I use these gloves for boxing heavy bag work and light sparring around 2-3 times a week - I have to say these are excellent gloves.The quality of the material is superb, cleans easily and has just the right level of grip when connecting with the bag. The padding is consistent around the glove and actually a lot sleeker than with some 16oz gloves that look and feel quite bulky. These feel compact and solid on your hands and provide the additional padding a 16oz glove is supposed to give.I am quite a heavy puncher, and often have an issue with the wrist strapping on lighter gloves that don't provide adequate protection. The strapping on these is perfect, providing the right level of support whilst not being too rigid.They also look fantastic on top of the great performance so really can't fault these at all. The price I think is fair as you have to pay a bit for quality in particular when it comes to contact sports equipment, cheap materials and production quality is really false economy.Strongly recommend!

I'm 5'11+ at 181cm and 87kg, and my hands are just under large, and in some ways I feel like I'm ever so slightly loose (but not unsafe) yet curiously still snug in these 16oz gloves, I mean I've never felt at risk as they have a wonderful inner padding baffle (some kind of folded material texture) based padding, and a terrific wrist stem - but certainly the 16oz glove can take a large to reasonably large hand. I like to tap the bag as hard as I can, I've been using these three times a week for six weeks now, and I have not yet had a wrist over-bend. in my opinion these gloves are to be recommended.

Have used these for the last 5 days on heavy bag and other drills and for me they are perfect. I have quite big hands and these fit superbly with wraps, the wrist support is brilliant and the padded palms is a great touch.Padding around the knuckles is fantastic and provides more than ample protection.Quality is brilliant and as the gloves wear in the will only get more comfortable.I would recommend these to anybody who regularly works bags.

These gloves are good for pad work, sparring and medium weight bag work. I like the heavy bag and much prefer my previous Twins Specials which have much better hand protection. I also find that the Venum gloves slip more on sweat probably due to synthetic ‘leather’ (I thought they were leather when I purchased them) so you are more prone to a wrist injury, so wrap the wrists well. These also seem to come up a little shorter in the fingers than the specials so I don’t recommend for big hands. If I had to choose between the two, Twins Special would get my 5 stars. These are a good gloves though and a lot of people also comment on how good they look - if that’s a thing that matters to you.

Having used Everlast boxing gloves for two months. I noticed a huge difference in the switch. The Venum gloves are much more comfortable around the hand. They seem more breathable. Overall, much more solid, premium feel. The cushioning where the punch connects the bag is great too. Aesthetically, they are very pleasing on the eye too. I recommend them.
