All 4 corners were damaged
Overall the board quality is good, But I was extremely disappointed to find that all 4 corners are chipped and 3 out of 4 are somewhat bent, and splayed, making them thicker than the rest of the board.If my current client hadn't requested me to start their painting immediately , even with the damage,I would be returning this board.

Great Christmas present for painters
My husband is an artist with an MFA in painting, and he's been in love with these boards since he tried them a few years ago. If you like your painting surface nice and smooth, this is a superior product. The paint glides on and you can create really interesting brushstrokes and effects. My only issue is actually ordering them from Amazon. I ordered them for my husband for Christmas and they arrived damaged. The boards are packaged in boxes that are way too big and the corners are not wrapped. Therefore, during shipping the board just slides around and the corners get extremely damaged.

Love these gesso boards so much better than canvas. Nice smooth surface for painting and fits into frame like a breeze!

Smooth!
LOVE!!! Its like painting on glass. I have painted on 2 of these so far and will continue to do so. I used Heavy body acrylic paints

Smooth for Poscas
These are a perfect smooth surface for Posca paint pens. Poscas don’t work great on canvas, the tip can catch in the texture of the canvas. These boards arrived in good condition, no imperfections or smooshed corners. They are thin but sturdy. I just ordered some more.
