Very thin book with brief history of Abraham Lincoln.

Summer time is very busy for me so I just got around to reading " Abraham Lincoln "First of all, thanks again for affording me the opportunity to read it free of charge. I am 80 and on SS. so my funds are limited.I found it well written, and only noticed one error in grammar. It was easy to read, understand and was chronological.As one of the older generations, I was taught American history in school. I learned all the essentials of Abe Lincoln's presidency and the civil war. Therefore the names and dates and events were familiar to me. (Unlike the children of today, I am sorry to say.) What i truly enjoyed about your book were the little nuances that humanized Lincoln. All the background history of his youth, his marriage, his problems with other political adversaries. I had no idea he was so disliked. It made me wonder how he got elected. I have read Bill O'Reilly's book "Killing Lincoln" so that filled me in on the end of his life but your book brought me the whole man.

It is a great read. I am enjoying it very much.

My daughter used this as a reference when doing a project on Lincoln.
