826H TURN SHEAR SCPR INTERNAL

Purchased for use on hollow forms (vases, vessels) . Does not work for that application since the angle of attack is too steep and tear out occurs or the tool simply does not work at all in that application. I returned. I have other Sorby tools that work well for my application, just not this one.

Purchased to turn the wood shell for tumbler kits. Works great.

Works well on end grain when turning bowl blanks.

Good tool though of limited use. Cutter is not hardened steel and needs to be sharpened often.

I was trying to cut green wood, but it didn't want to. Probably ok in dry wood but sharpening is a problem.

I was surprised by how well this works. Glad I bought it.

The chrome on the scraper is coming off the steel.

Great tool. It cuts fabulously.
