Point blank period
Well, I have the joy (sarcasm alert) of 10-11 day periods. So, you can imagine how sore I feel from pads at the end of each period. Even if I wear a tampon, I still wear a pad. I only have several days of freedom from any menstrual issues monthly. Finding any form of relief has been a real blessing! My phone won't link to Thinx's website, so I decided after reading these reviews to give this particular panty (and one other brand) a try. After all, I've easily dropped $100 in Wally World with very little to show for it. Why not at least try these -no harm, no foul if they didn't work out well.A little hotter than most panties, but then God allowed man to be smart enough to make air conditioning to help!Dislikes:Has an odd odor (almost like a new tar road) when bled into -for the first few wears at least. I noticed on the 4th wear, it was less noticeable. Btw- I don't have this problem with my regular clothes nor any pad or tampon. I did notice this with the other new and different brand of period panties I ordered at the same time. (I guess it's the materials that keep the blood in place.) But, I also have a heightened sense of smell so maybe this will not be an issue for you. Also, the smell does not linger around (only present with the bloody panties when using the bathroom). You ever enter the bathroom behind another and it smells fishy or something else even several minutes later? It's not like that.Makes a rustling sound when worn with lightweight fabrics, shorts, or skirts/dresses. Move faster, rustles louder. Move slower, rustles softer. Not really bad, just slightly noticeable to the others in the room with decent hearing. (I tended to wear capris, jeans, slacks, etc., when wearing these panties.A little challenging but not impossible to get a sanitary napkin around the wide crotch. I tend to use the winged dry weave thin long overnights or even regular overnight ones. They don't stick well and might need to be changed a little more often as they crept up on me a little more often.Need to scrub really well (by hand) to get the crotch stains out fully.Pretty panties (although very high risers -but they work well so ...) but I would prefer to have neutrals such as black and flesh tones such as brown and tan. These suckers ride high, but that's liveable. Some even like that.Loves:Freedom from an extra sore bum due to pads!!!! Yay!!! Lighter days I wore these bad buddies without pads or any additional supports.I found myself checking to make sure my pad hadn't slipped the first few wears. It was a relief to not have to wear one.Absorbs blood well. No wet feelings which is fantastic!!!Absorbs sweat too. I live in the super hot south. We sweat up bras and panties pretty thoroughly starting as early as spring here. Was a nice relief that I didn't sweat all the way through and have wet pants and have to worry about that or the consequences that come with not being able to change out of sweaty undies timely.I washed and dried a pair by hand 2x and used the washing machine and dryer once. They held up well. I was hoping they'd shrink just a little since I did order a size up from my standard pant size, but I didn't notice that. The absorbent part worked just as well. I usually place bras and special items in a bra or garment bag before washing and drying but didn't with these forgetting I had them with me. The color remained also.I'm quite a curvy gal, especially my bottom 1/2. Ordering these 1 size up gave a little more room than I wanted. So if you're not bodylicious in the hips, buns, and thighs you might want to consider ordering your pant size unless you want a little extra room.High crotches front and back to catch the flow. I slept well with these! Also, the crotch is quite wide so most will enjoy. Not my favorite part of the panty, but better too wide than too narrow.I thought these might be a little gross, but the blood wasn't bothersome. Couldn't feel it at all. It did unnerve me a little the first few times seeing it, since I'm used to seeing blood in panties and thinking how I need to change and grab a pad. I adjusted easily.Price was good.I don't recall these creeping between my hills and valley, bum, frequently like my other brand.I recommend these panties!!! I took 1 star due to the odor these panties put out.I just wish these came into my life sooner!!2/5/2018The odor remains even after many washes over several months.I thought my period was easing up recently (longer than normal cycle). Instead I bled heavily through these panties. I had been able to wear these on light to lightly moderate days as the only period protection, but not this past month. I noticed the bottom of the crotch was very bloody and had not been before when used this way. I leaked heavily into my pjs. Has not happened like this before. I'm assuming these panties have a life expectancy of 3-6 months depending upon washes. As I've been using them since about July 2017.I STILL recommend but want to try a pair of Thinx now too, where as I had lost interest for awhile upon using these.

Best choice for light incontinence
If you’re older and have light to med incontinence, these are wonderful full. You can wear a pad of your choice without worry of leaking through to your clothing. The liner is very thin but yet water proof. The panting itself is very well fitted and so comfortable. Very pleased .

I don't recommend
These look nice but don't fit well and they don't protect against getting wet even with a pad

Perfect for heavy menstruation
On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is a very light "bleeder" and 10 is a woman who bleeds profusely and needs medical intervention for the heavy bleeding, I consider myself 7.5-8 (meaning I bleed heavily but not to the point of requiring medical help but sometimes I take an over-the-counter painkiller on day 1 of menstrual cramps) so please read my review with that in mind.I first purchased the blue and red pair briefs with utmost skepticism. For the price, and the fact that I bleed heavily, I did not have high expectations. Normally I am not one to write reviews on personal issues such as feminine hygiene. But I am going ahead and writing one do to service to other ladies who may have suffered for years like me. My cycle consists of heavy bleeding on Days 1 and 2, moderately heavy bleeding on day 3 and sometimes day 4, and light bleeding on day 5. My first 2-3 days have been historically so uncomfortable that I deliberately avoid doing any sort of activities that could embarrass me in public. All my life I have only worn sanitary pads. I have tried tampons but they made me feel extremely uncomfortable. And I cannot fathom the idea of menstrual cups, that is just way out of my comfort zone. So as someone who wears only sanitary pads (usually the brand Always), days 1-3 are usually a recurrent transient nightmare. This past weekend, I had an outdoor activity that I was contemplating cancelling because it was that time of the month for me. In the nick of time, I found these briefs and thought why not try them. I had one day prior to my event to actually try them and boy, I must say I was ELATED. You may think my review is such an exaggeration. But if you think of a woman who has bled heavily for years and years and had to schedule activities surrounding the bleeding, you'd understand. These briefs work absolutely wonders with sanitary pads. No matter how I wear pads, I still bleed out of them, especially on the sides. And these briefs hold blood in such a way that they never come out. I was so happy that I also ordered the black and nude pairs. I really can't believe that I can finally not worry about public embarrassment anymore thanks to these briefs. Comfort wise, I expected them to not be comfortable but actually once you wear them and go about your daily activities, you don't even realize you're wearing them which was a surprise to me. Another brand for the same purpose and at a much higher cost, is much tighter and sweaty compared to these. I have only one negative remark about these underwear which is, they don't look sexy at all, especially on a curvy woman like me. I bought the 1X size (they are true to size which is great) and they look like heavy Sumo wrestler granny panties. So I would avoid displaying them around my husband, if you know what I mean ;-) But that still doesn't detract from the fact that they are REALLY helpful to lead a normal life during those God-forsaken 5 days a month for me. Also, please note some of the color descriptions are slightly off but the pictures are accurate. For example, there is no blue and red. The blue is more of a violet and the red is a rose color. I hope my review was helpful in making an informed decision. If you're on the fence, try them! You won't be disappointed.

U will bleed thru these!! U will also sweat really bad!!
0 stars if I could !FINALLY had a legit period (I’m on meds that cause me to have no period or just light spotting)Wore overnight while sleeping. Woke up with blood that had seeped right thru the underwear anywhere that the blood had touched!!!They fit, they’re hot to wear and will make u sweat so u gotta change them thru the day more than normal underwear. Not recommended at all!!!For a light period, this is ridiculous. How can these even be called period underwear?!I’ve had these for many months now. Don’t buy!!
