I have a large Kenmore Elite Stainless Steel gas grill and while most of the parts are pretty indestructible and rust proof, the flame tamers are apparently not stainless as all 5 of them completely rusted and disintegrated. So, I went online to the Sears parts page and the replacement parts were like $25 per panel!!!I also saw that there were a lot of different panels with slightly different sizes and end shapes that were each designed to fit just one model of grill. Then I saw on Amazon the Unicook Universal Replacement flame tamers that were adjustable and they only cost $15 for a set of three! Anyway, they fit perfectly and so I am very happy with this purchase.

I just received this product, but so far I am a big fan. It was very easy to install, and fit my grill without any problem.The material is actually thicker and heavier than my original Heat platter.I also turned on the Grill for about 15 minutes and get it really hot, heat distribution was excellent and I had no problem with coating getting off or smell like some other reviews are saying.So far great product, happy bbq season 😀

The originals that came with my grill basically got burned through. They were thin and flimsy to begin with so not surprise they deteriorated so bad. These I got because I read they were adjustable and I just didn’t have the time to check the measurement on my grill. Of course that’s to amazon speedy shipping I got these a day after ordering. Putting together was a breeze. I measured one in my grill the just size the rest off the first one. These are so much thicker and heavier than the originals that came with the grill. I’ve fired up the grill once since they were installed and everything is working wonderful. I would highly recommend these.

No complaints so far. Easy to adjust to length and replaced the original heat tents which were about to disintegrate. We have used the grill many times since installing and they are holding up well. Actually are much heavier duty than the original heat tents. Has breathed new life into our cheap Brinkmann gas grill. I did have to buy 2 sets are our grill has 5 burners so that leaves us with one spare. I did see some other sets but only found sets of 3 or 4 unless you bought the Brinkmann brand which were $19.95 each!

I bought a set of these for my older grill. I've been hoping to squeeze a few months (or maybe a year out of it). The stock Kenmore heat shields were rusted through and rotting after about 8 or 9 years so it was time for new ones. Considering the age of the grill, I didn't want to spend a lot so I gave these a try.Installation was easy. Pull out the old ones, adjust the size of these, lay them in the grill and you're all set. I do recommend running your grill for some time after installing these to burn off any chemicals and packing dust that may have settled on them before cooking food with them.Heat distribution is even. They work better than the rotted old ones.My only complaint was longevity. As I said, the stock units lasted about 9 years. These started to show signs of rust after a couple of months. I've had them in now for about a summer and a half and I could probably get another year or two of out them. If I were keeping the grill longer, I'd say spend a little more and find something of higher quality. But considering these were bought to get a little more life out of an old grill, they were worth what I paid for them.

I almost tossed my grill out to the curb after my heat plates rusted through and turned into a giant mess in the bottom of my grill. My friend recommended just replacing these so I pulled out my industrial work shop vac and sucked out all the crud from the previous rusty mess, scrubbed it a bit then bought these. Easy peasy to install and now my grill looks and acts like new again! Love it!!!! Love that they are super adjustable to fit your width. So far I've fired it up several times and no rusting or anything.

The paint on the tents them selves appears to be heat resistant but not that used on the screws. The screws came black, but the paint quickly burned off, making various nasty fumes.Why not just use stainless screws?Otherwise the quality appears good.

The BBQ heat plates arrived in reasonably good time (an extra day or two beyond next-day because of Covid-19). They were very well packaged - perhaps even too well! Personally I would have preferred less plastic and more recyclables. Despite the good, tight packaging, the little packet with the screws was open and the screws had spilt out in the box. Irrelevant, but odd and unexpected.The plates seem to be solid and well coated. They are easy to assemble with wing nuts - two on each plate. I expect that after some use, the nuts will rust into place. The plates consist of two sliding pieces so that the length can be adjusted according to your BBQ. Mine is a small 2-burner and the plates fit perfectly. The coating on the plates seems thick and I might expect these plates to out-survive the rest of the BBQ.

I think they need to get people to work out how to install these things themselves then get them to write the instructions. Whoever wrote the ones for this product was a bad, lazy person who literally could not be bothered.That aside, good product. Once I figured out how it all went together (much simpler than I feared - no thanks to the instructions) - I was able to install it in my Outback Spectrum 3 burner BBQ without issue (and was left with one spare!).It is made of sturdy stuff and worked perfectly when I put it to the test. Good value for money overall.

So far very pleased. Have set them up and installed them in less than 5 mins. Seem good quality and sturdy. Seem much better than what was supplied originally with the bbq. Would recommendHave now used the bbq twice since getting these. Has made a huge different! They are good and sturdy, now warping at all, therefore keeping their ridged shape and allowing fats to drip away properly and eliminate flair ups. Should have got these years ago!

Arrived very quickly, decently packed. Substantial metal construction, not stainless (my choice, bought the 4-pack to have a spare at half the price). Fitted the BBQ perfectly, easy to adjust size. Works a treat.
