Orbrium8X 3.5 Curved Switch Tracks Wooden Train Expansion Set Pack Compatible with Thomas Chuggington Brio Melissa Doug Imaginarium

We just started with wooden trains this Christmas, so I don't have a lot of experience - I will update this review if my opinion changes.My son got a figure 8 Bigjigs set, and a small oval Thomas set for Christmas, as well as some straight track and a couple of switch tracks from Jesse's Toy Box to help fill out the beginner sets. We quickly figured out that we needed some shorter pieces to be able to make the more elaborate configurations we wanted to make, and in particular we needed more switches of every size.These short switch pieces are extremely useful. At the same time we ordered these, we also ordered a Right Track box of track, and so far we have not had any issues with any pieces of track not easily connecting - everything is working together just fine (SEE UPDATE BELOW).UPDATE 1-4-2014: We have found that not all track pieces will connect to the curved part of the end of the track that has two connectors. I think with a little sanding of the straight end, it will be fine, but I just wanted to warn people that this could happen. Even with this problem, these are still very useful pieces.

We purchased these switches to add to our collection of used tracks we have obtained from a few sources. The tracks worked well with our existing collection that I assume is made up of several different track brands. I did not have any fit issues with and of the pieces.

We've been very happy with these. We needed more track for our Melissa and Doug train set, and these were very helpful. The are much shorter than the curved switch tracks that came with the set, but we also liked having this shorter option. They are good quality and fit well with our other wooden tracks. We will purchase other Orbrium brand track in the future--and also were happy with an Orbrium tunnel that we purchased, too.

The end of the curved track is cut differently than original tracks, making some tracks incompatible and some joins uneven, but generally they work well.

We got these pieces for my son’s wooden train set. These allow him to build more elaborate functional tracks and build really cool railways.

A few of our switches had broken. These pieces completed our set and now we can make track designs never possible before

Price was good but the quality of the parts is terrible. Connecting points are very loose.

We don't use a train table, just the whole floor. These added a LOT more track configurations, much to the delight of my two-year-old son. Every time we build, it is completely different, new, and exciting. This helped continue that sort of trend. I would recommend getting a few of the male/male and female/female plugs, so you can close off a track properly and smoothly.This works with our Thomas, Circo, and Imaginarium tracks and trains quite well.

We wanted extra pieces to go with our existing wooden train set. These ones fit perfectly. We can build all sorts of fun tracks with these (yes, the whole family joins in).

The wood quality is just a notch below the premium brands but otherwise the switches are perfectly fine.
