Excellent content – spoiled by small-sized print
What should be a fantastic book is terrible to read because of the tiny print size. The author writes in clear and engaging language, but – sadly – you may need a magnifying glass to read it. And while the artworks are printed in colour, their small size makes magnificent masterpieces look uninspiring. The book should be a compact guide, not a Too Compact Guide. In contrast, Susie Hodge’s How to Look at Art paints a better picture of the subject because it’s more readily readable. How to Look at Art
