LM012 Pocket Microscope for Kids, 2'' LCD 300X Portable Microscope for Kids 8-12 with Screen, Photo and Video, Prepared Slides, 8GB SD Card

I ordered 10 of these for an event about environmental science for kids ages 4 through 12. Of the whole set, there was one that was a little glitchy, but all the rest were working perfectly. The glitchy one didn't turn on at first, and I powered it up and only after about 5 minutes it said that it was at 100% battery. After turning it off and on a few times, the microscope now seems to be working just as well as all the rest of them. The set of slides is a nice mix of things, and the little bug holder and folding legs for the microscope, along with the necklace style carrier, make the product really versatile. I think it will stand up to the test of heavy use by lots of curious young people. The screen isn't as big as some of the standing microscopes that are available, but the ability to move these microscopes around, and use them as a sort of science oriented magnifier cell phone camera fits the bill for my needs perfectly.

The media could not be loaded.  Great for young explorers. Included strap makes it easy to take with you. Lightweight and fairly easy to use. Zooms in smoothly and allows you to see details well.

Kids are always asking to check things out under the microscope. A must for nature loving Kids.

I got this for my 6yr old daughter and she loves it. Pretty good quality for the price.

This functions more like a digital magnifying glass, which is perfect for letting my daughter look at plants, rocks, bugs, etc... The controls are not as simple as they could be for young children, and it requires and additional SD card to take pictures. I would say this is an ok magnifier, but I definitely wouldn't call it a microscope...it can't focus on anything past 50x

The style and power of this are poor. The controls are not of good quality - they work sometimes. I would not recommend nor purchase this again.

This camera microscope is easier to use than a traditional microscope. When my younger children try to use our traditional microscope, I end up having to focus and position every slide for them. With this, I can set them loose on slides or objects and they can do all of that themselves. The most important feature is that this takes the frustration out of the microscope experience and makes it easy.The focus adjuster is a huge dial that is easy to grasp. If turning it moves the microscope out of position, you can just grab the whole thing and slide it around a bit instead of grabbing a small slide. You can put the microscope directly on top of slides in fact. Additionally, the maximum distance that the microscope can focus on from the lens is quite far, which is very helpful.The most fun comes from being able to place ordinary objects or plants or insects right in front and rapidly get a close up view of them. For younger children, more variety of objects to see may be better than more detail (i.e. higher magnification and more finicky slide adjustment.)It takes alright pictures although they do seem to suffer from some serious compression with file sizes around 600kb. The rubber flap that covers the ports on the bottom is flimsy and should be handled with care by an adult.You get some slides and a plastic insect viewing container. There is a strap, too.

Opened the box to literally just slides and pair of tweezers. Microscope is missing.

Wirklich einfach zu verwenden und sehr starke Vergrößerung möglich! Für den Preis wirklich der Knaller und unser Sohn mag es auch sehr gerne.

A summary of this item have not changed, I have carried out more checks before returning the item.First the positive points.Delivery and packaging:- Very good in both respects.My attempt to get things workingOperation:-Push buttons on menu operation are very flaky. When selecting the Up/Down buttons to navigate the on-screen menu, the operation did not cause the mode to change when the button was pressed squarely, on the top however, it intermittently changed if the button was pressed on its front edge. A similar issue was had when the 'OK' button was pressed.Note that whether it worked correctly or not, the confirmation sound for the button press was always heard.Connection to PC:-In order to do this, the instructions advise that the memory card must be removed before attempting to connect. When I connected the two, with the USB Data lead, I heard the computer respond but there was nothing telling me what had been plugged in. I could not find it in the settings. The instructions told me to go on a website, to proceed. I felt comfortable because it was an https website. I was presented with nothing more than a folder (which was named as per the instructions) from which data was to be downloaded. At this point I stopped because I avoid downloading anything that could compromise my computer.I am returning the device.

Preso per bambini di otto anni, ne sono entusiasti, bisogna prenderci la mano ma è veramente carino. Bella la possibilità di appoggiarli per terra inoltre è presente una piccola scheda che permette di fare e memorizzare foto e piccolissimi filmati. Le istruzioni sono in inglese ma è abbastanza intuitivo soprattutto per dei bambini curiosi!

Acheté pour Noel pour mon neveu de 7ans.Celui ci qui adore découvrir le monde qui l’entoure, adore ce microscope.Du fait qu’il soit portatif avec une focale réglable. Vous pouvez littéralement voir tout ce sont pour avez envie ! Très bonne qualité de l’écran ! Facilité d’utilisation, et mode photo très appréciable.
