The memories!
My family had one of these when I was a kid and I absolutely adored it! Every Christmas when it came out, I would put it together, my dad lit the candles and I would sit and watch it spin and spin. When I saw this I immediately bought it! When it arrived it still held all the delight for me as it did when i was a child. It is quite flimsy, but it does need to be light in order to work properly. Make sure the middle rod at the top is not pushed completely down or it will not spin properly. The only other issue I had was finding candles that fit the holders properly and didn't tip. Otherwise it was a great purchase and a wonderful trip down memory lane!

Do you remember, where's the beef, well "WHERE ARE THE BELLS"
Could not wait to write a review on this one! When I saw it on Amazon, it brought back memories, as my parents owned one when I was a child, and I always enjoyed watching the angels whirl around and hear the high pitched "ting" on the bells! Well my friend, you can FORGET any ting of anything with this thing! Unlike the beautiful brass Christmas Angel Chimes of yesteryear the bells on this thing are about as thick as tin foil, and I kid you not! They make NO sound, unless you place a microphone next to them and run it through an amplifier. Additionally the bells are not a bright brass as the old Christmas Angel Chimes used to be, not even close. The entire thing is a "flat" nondescript boring cheap unpolished, unbelievable ultra light weight thing that bends if you look at it hard. I do not mean to bash this thing so vehemently, but come on, some things don't need to be sold for $4.00, it would be better for China not to import this piece. The entire function of this Christmas gizmo is to "ting" the bells, and with this Chime, there is NO tinging of anything, but if you listen very hard you can hear a tin foil "CLANK". I'm sooooo disappointed with this cheap, cheap imitation of the REAL Christmas Angel Chimes of yesteryear, I can assure you, you will not be happy with this thing! The one and only thing is does right, is slowly spin, it does do that, so my friend, you have been warned!

ONE SIMPLE TRICK to make this angel chime work
Kimberly hit the nail on the head:"Just be sure to turn the small "spike" shaped piece to have the pointed, needle end pointing UP!. This piece is "hidden" in the photo and covered up by the larger piece that the top angel sits upon. The flat end will not allow the fans to rotate. So, just make sure the spike is pointing upward, and balance the fan piece (blades pointing downward) and it turns easily - it should turn RIGHT after you have lit the candles, too. If it doesn't, disassemble and try again."I corrected this simple assembly mistake and the angels began to spin immediately after lighting the candles. Too bad no instructions came with the chimes it could have saved a lot of people a headache. The 4 included candles burned far too quickly, you'll want to add extra candles to your order. The box of 20 I ordered burned slower. It is a bit flimsy, but then it only cost $5. The one I had in the early 70's was just as flimsy. It's very charming and reminiscent of my childhood.Good luck and happy holiday memories!

"Sort of" like old times
If, like myself, you remember these from childhood (maybe 40 years ago) you will have mixed feelings. I was pleasantly surprised to even find them at Amazon and priced accordingly. For the money it is still definitely worth it. Assembly is a breeze. The impellers turn easily with the supplied candles. It looks just as I remember them. The cons are it is about as cheaply made as can be and still work. The arms that hold the bells have no provision to keep the bells level so they end up listing to one side no matter what I tried. The little clappers can still hit them but that too is cheapened. Tolerances have been so far relaxed that the clappers have no need of swinging out to hit the bells. Gone is the rhythmic ding ding ding. What happens now is every pass drags the clapper past the bell. It sort of rings. Also, due to this extra drag the spin is constantly slowing and speeding back up as when the clappers actually do swing out, they hit the bells so much that it slows the revolutions. It's still worth the Amazon price. If you've never seen one of the old ones, you may think it nice. If you remember how they used to be you may be disappointed.

Not like the original I remember, flimsy
Pretty cheap and not sturdy. I enjoyed the memories it brought back however. Base I’d crooked and you need to secure it so that it is straight. Bells are not loud at all. Very cheap material. May be worth looking for a different version and paying more for better material.

Let's celebrate with a cheerful carousel with chimes.
A pretty shiny carousel with horses and clown or Christmas theme of angel cherubs. Candles are provided for them to be lit for this carousel to rotate and for everyone to watch and enjoy. Safety must come first and do not leave this carousel lit and unattended. There must be a responsible adult in attendance. This is not a toy but a lovely thing to watch and enjoy during Yuletide, birthdays, whatever. It's your choice.

Below average
The media could not be loaded. Just not worth the money. Looks and feels like it was made from a coke tin.

Cute
Cute but extremely thin metal. Almost fragile metal if that’s possible
