La SportivaWomens Tarantula All-Around Rock Climbing Shoe

I tried seven different climbing shoes before I found these. I had to size down from an 8.5 to a 7.5, but the fit is perfect for my narrow feet with long toes. I am a beginner climber doing mostly sport routes outdoors. I have found that all climbing shoes are tight and uncomfortable, but these are the most tolerable that I have worn while still being extremely capable shoes. I was able to start doing much harder routes when I bought them, and sometimes I do forgot I have them on and balay my partner without changing into my approach shoes. They were perfect out of the box and did not need any breaking in, although they do have a nice stretch when they warm up. I’ve been using them for about 3 months and they are still in great shape. Even the white leather still looks good after kicking around in red dirt. I top rope 5.9s and easier 5.10s and I’m just learning to lead, and they are perfect for my beginner capabilities.

These are perfect. Super comfortable on the heel. True to climbing shops size, so slightly tight in the toes. Love them

I returned these shoes because when purchasing Amazon suggested I go a full size smaller than I typically wear, and since as a fairly new climber I’ve seen enough videos to know that climbers do typically wear tight shoes I thought it made sense. When I received the shoes they were entirely too tight to function in so a returned them and re-purchased in my typical size.After receiving my correct size I noted that prior to breaking in they did rub on my Achilles quite a bit but not enough to cause a blister and after breaking in are quite comfortable. The shoes are pretty durable, the upper is a combination of suede and synthetic materials, the sole is moderately flexible, the inside is suede so they can be comfortably worn without socks and even after having sweaty bare feet in them for hours at a time they just smell like leather inside still. I do like the burgundy/wine color. I would’ve preferred blue but unfortunately they were not available in my size.The grip is good for novice/beginner climbers with a slightly downturned toe for getting smaller footholds than gym rentals are capable of for newer climbers.

I just started climbing recently so I decided to buy my first shoes. After reading endless reviews on different websites, I chose this shoe. I'm so glad I did. I tried them out today at the rock gym and loved them! At first the felt a little too high in the heel, but after I started climbing, I didn't feel any discomfort. These are great shoes.

I have no idea what happened here. I’m wondering if they are a knock of la sportivas? Because- they’re usually killer climbing shoes… but these came already busting at the seams and I hadn’t even tried them on. Perhaps they’re just going downhill in regards to quality.? Which. Is a bummer. These were too big anyway so I’m returning them… but definitely disappointed. There’s also noticeable glue on the shoe. The quality is just so poor. I can’t imagine it’s really la Sportivas…Needless to say, I’ll just be ordering straight from either REI or the company website if there is one. I’m not exactly sure I trust Amazon with these kind of purchases anymore 😕

Works well for entry level gym climbing. Easy on and off. Very happy with this purchase

Great shoes! The velcro straps make life easier when my fingers are dead and can't untie laces. They fit well, but I could've gone down a size smaller for a more snug fit in the toe area. They also come up higher in the back then I'm used to, which initially caused some blisters, but nothing to complain about. Overall, they are durable and do what I need them to do.

Great beginner shoe. I got my street size. Probably should have sized 1/2 size down as they have stretched a bit, but they are fine for beginner/comfy multi pitch or all day gym shoes even if they’re a tad big. If you’re unsure, I’d just get your street size. If you want a definite snug fit, go 1/2 size down.

Por lo general las gatas deben quedar apretadas, en lo personal no las uso así. Si no quieres que te queden como guante, sugiero una talla arriba de lo normal. Yo finalmente las cambié por una talla mayor a mi talla y me quedaron muy bien. Están excelentes y muy prácticas. Las recomiendo totalmente. Ya las utilicé al exterior y están perfectas.
