Best useful lighting gadgets I've ever bought into. The entire MagMod system is quality stuff that lasts, saves time and money, makes creative on location lighting easy. Well easier. You still need to know how to light.

I love Magmod's product line. These gels are great to begin with, but now with v2, they have magnets! No need for the holder. The holder wasn't a problem, but now it's just one less thing you have to mess with.

I was really excited to get these to replace a set of the old mag gels. I was especially looking forward to not having to pop gels in and out of their holders. The colors look good.First day and one of them has already fallen apart. The magnet just popped right out. It's easily fixed with some packing tape, but dissapointing.The biggest issue I have with these is they don't work with the old mag grips on a standard canon flash 600ex I. The magnets dont align correctly and though you can push and slide them into place they wont just snap in on first try (one side hangs slightly off) I ended up buying some mag grip 2s and they work as they should on those grips.Im also a bit dissapointed they dont fit in the magwallet. Not sure how im going to store these to avoid scratches and stuff as the oval size is a bit awkward for any cases I currently own. I guess the ugly old magmod bags.
