In August, my son was getting ready to go off to college. Freshman can't have cars on campus, he's an athlete and used to being out in all kinds of weather. I found him a great Trek bike similar to his "good" bike at home but didn't look great so it is less likely to have the lock cut & bike stolen. He'll be riding it year round so I needed to put a set of fenders on it. After a fair amount of research, I settled on these. I really liked the integral LED lamps front and back for bad weather and night riding. They were light so weren't adversely affecting the riding weight.The 1st thing that came up was the lack of a mounting bolt, lock washer and nut. After a trip to the hardware store I had a stainless bolt, locking washer and lock nut. The bike was ready for school; I thought.The 2nd thing that came up was 7 weeks into the semester, the rear 1/2 of the front fender assembly fell off and was toast.We brought the bike home for the Thanksgiving break to look it over. The rear fender was about to do the same thing! Bikes are subjected to a lot of shaking/pounding in varied circumstances. The nuts were not tight enough when assembled! Very frustrating. I hate having to disassemble and adjust things I have just bought.The bottom line is: My son and I appreciate the fender functionality and the integral lights. If you purchase these, take each of the Philips head mounting bolts out while holding the backing nut in its plastic housing on the backside. Put a drop of Blue "Locktite" thread locker on the bolt and re-tighten it. Do this on all 6 small bolts. Hopefully this will take care of the problem.As a result of the poor assembly, I had to purchase a 2nd set, take the rear 1/2 of the front assembly off the new set and mount it on the bracket on the bike. Now my son has a set up that will work but I had to buy 2 sets of fenders, a mounting bolt for the 1st set and thread lock all the mounting hardware while the bike is home for the holiday to achieve what will hopefully be ready for long term use.It's sad manufacturers can't take these small steps when assembling their products. If I wasn't a builder/mechanic/tinkerer these would have been junk.Great product, very poor assembly! A small upgrade to either a bolt or nut with factory thread locker would have garnered a 5 star review.

I mainly purchased this item for my ebike I recently got from Amazon prime day. I would warn against people hoping for the longer fenders being straight... they are very warped... some heat helps to soften the warp but the rear fender led-plastic did snap. All that IA holding the clear plastic in is melted plastic so.. some uv resin can fit that..All in all on a budget if looking for just a front fender it's 4/5.. rear did come with nice articulation mounting, but if the plastic is bent beyond saving.. 0/5

I like the easy install for the back fender. Had to modify my bike light to get the front fender on. Have not really used the lights so I cannot comment on that. Went over a big hole in the road and the back fender with middle strip of lights came apart. I was able to snap it back together. It’s plastic so I guess that’s will happen. Maybe I will glue so it can’t fall apart. Hmmmm.

front fender lite on the bottom does work. back fender rattles
