Seems so over priced for what it is but cheaper than buying the throw away trays. Came with a bag of crystal litter that was ripped open in the box. I knew it seemed terrible quality but dumped it from the box into the tray anyway. I figured I was trying to get my money's worth. It started to smell almost immediately after she used the box so I bought some scent crystals to try and prolong its life but less than a week and I had to change the litter because the smell was so bad. I got almost a month use from the throw away tray with just one cat. Don't even bother with the litter they send it's junk and just doesn't work at all. The tray however cleaned up easy enough and only time will tell how well it holds up. Seems to fit the petsmart auto box good too

Disposable box pans are ridiculously over priced. Why would I pay $40 for a laminated cardboard pad when I can get a reusable one for around the same price. We don't use the liners that came with it but the box has been changed about 20 times and were still using this. If it gets nasty just hose it off, wait for it to dry and shove it back in

Just received the TonGass litter tray. First the good news—arrived on time, and the external Amazon packaging was intact. Unfortunately, the disappointment began right as I opened the box. The items were poorly packaged. The bag of crystal litter was ruptured, making a huge mess, and every other bag of contents was also torn.The biggest surprise was that the LITTER TRAY WAS OBVIOUSLY WARPED at one end and made fitting a challenge. The plastic of the tray was flimsier than I expected. I tested some of the litter that had fallen out of the bag, and the litter barely absorbed any liquid. The unexpected "freebie" in the box was elastic liners, which were so thin that my cats would likely ruin them in one use. I suggest that TonGass have actual cats test their products.I didn’t read all the other reviews before I made the purchase, and that’s my fault. I was just focused on getting a lower price, but the quality of this tray is not worth the money. I don’t like giving bad reviews, but I’m returning it and will try out the Forever Litter Tray or another option next that has been suggested in some other Amazon reviews.

I’ve had the automated kitty litter device for about 20 years and love it! But I found it miserable to dispose of the awkwardly large box of dirtiness inside, needing to carefully place it in a tall kitchen bag, tie it shut, and place it on end in my garbage can! And these are expensive! My cat does drink a lot of water (as they all should), and the box would be wet through the bottom. This reusable tray was very easy to set up, and now I buy the original crystal kitty litter in large resealable bags! Less mess! What a money saver, and a lot easier to dispose, clean, and add new kitty litter! Tip for cleaning: I use a spray bottle of urinal cleaner that you can find anywhere for about $5.

I loved this idea at first instead of buying throw away box every time, but with the litter you have to buy for this litter box all the urine just clumps at the bottom and it’s WAY messier, plus the very cheap bags it come with just rip with raking motion of cleaning box.

Got this after the price increases on the disposal trays went insane. It works really well - you clip one piece to the part that lifts instead of magnets. It also comes with a load of liners to make cleaning easier. Cats don't notice the difference so I'm very happy.

After years of buying the disposable trays, I bought this as the trays are just getting more & more expensive. Zero regrets!! It works super well & now I can just buy off-brand crystals for so much cheaper. The crystals it comes with are okay, but they’re a bit chunky so it doesn’t rake super well, a thinner, lighter crystal would be better. Still - this is gonna save us money. Super happy with it.

I have to admit I was a bit confused and thought that the manufacturers had made a mistake. I was assuming the openings on the plastic cover had something to do with the magnets on the main flap. So I was a little frustrated thinking I'd spent a lot of money on something, part of which was useless.After having a think about it though I realised how silly I'd been, and that the clips are just to slide over the outer edge of the main flap, per my picture.Overall this product is pretty expensive for what it is, though it comes with a bag of cat litter- which in itself is almost going for £40 a bag at the moment.Other than that - it seems really good and will eventually pay for itself in comparison to the official replacement cardboard trays.

I bought it for the reusable tray, and that has worked well for me!! Unfortunately, my cat likes to pee against the ramp, so the clip for the cover should've been magnetized underneath (like the cardboard trays). I might actually just reuse the cardboard lid part with the magnets instead of your plastic cover.The petsafe automatic litter box doesn't work too well with the crystals that came with the reusable tray. As the rake moves forward and back, it tries to sift through the crystals but it just ends up pushing them all around. I'd recommend getting a crystal litter that is slightly finer.
