Actistatin Canine Extra Strength Soft Chews Large (120 ct)

This product arrived as one great glib if stickiness. When I pay $189.00 for 120 individual chews, I want 120 individual chews. I don’t think I will reorder.

My GSD is 10 years old and has arthritis and a neurological issue. This will not repair his neurological degeneration, but it is doing wonderful things for the pain of arthritis. I started noticing some improvement after a couple weeks -- now 3 months later, I'm hard-pressed to remember how painful he was. He use to moan and groan getting up and down from laying down or sitting. It took him a long time and sometimes I would help him up. He was slow when walking and he rarely waved his tail. He just didn't seem like he was enjoying his life much and I was wondering if I needed to think about making that final decision for him. Since he's been on the Acti, he's more mobile. He's following me around the house again. He's eager to go out and go on walks (though he can't do distance because of the neurological issue). His tail waves a lot more, he rarely expresses any pain, and he seems to be enjoying life.The other day for the first time in a while, he grabbed a giant branch and wanted to play with it. Other than a pain med for times when we overdo a walk, and which I use sparingly, he is on no other supplement or medication. I HIGHLY recommend this product. Note that even though for a dog over 100, it says to give 3 chews, I give him 2 1/2 a day, and give my little one the other half.

My 7 y/o GSD had been experiencing significant hip pain. It was so severe that he couldn't go up our stairs anymore and he just wasn't being himself. Once we started giving him the Actistatin (2 per day), we started to see a significant improvement. He was able to navigate the stairs, he regained some of his appetite, and we saw a definite improvement in his energy and personality. He was still not quite himself and he was still in enough pain that it was causing him to vomit occasionally, so we ended up taking him to the vet who put him on an additional anti-inflammatory. However, we asked the vet's opinion about continuing the Actistatin, showing him the ingredients and telling him what improvements we had seen. He said to definitely keep giving it to our dog.We've now been using the product for about 3 months now. He was more excited and more cooperative in the beginning to take the "treats" (as we call them). He really enjoyed them to start out with. I don't think he enjoys the flavor as much now, but he still takes them more easily than the anti-inflammatory that we got from the vet! :) With both treatments combined, it is nice to have our fun, sweet, energetic pup back!

My husky hurt her back about a year ago. She has never been the same. She is only 5 now and is really active but has a hard time due to her back. Since I have started her on the Actistatin its been almost 2 weeks and I have noticed a huge difference. She now walks with her tail up which she hasnt done since she hurt her back and she wants to play more with our other dog and has even ran up the stairs to fetch a toy. I have to say this stuff really works. I give her one chew in the morning and one at night. Since she is over 50 pounds. I have her on a diet and hope to get her to 45lbs then I can give her just one. She gained the weight from being on steroids and that hasnt help her back but she is loosing weight and is so much more active. I will continue to give this to her.

The good:I found out about this product from the DVM that my K9 goes to as this product was explained to me is that they have a police dog on it that is 8 years old and hardly wants to move and very sedentary and the police was going to retire the K9. The Dr. decided to have the K9 try this product and in about 2 weeks a report come back the K9 is now active again. I was a little reluctant to try this product as my rottie is 5 1/2 years old and the cost of this product as well as the fact i already give my K9 fish oil each day. I googled this product and discovered it on Amazon for a few dollars less then what my K9 Dr. Sells it for. As money is very tight and I'm poor I decided to give this product a try and it's been about 2 weeks now and my dog is getting up easier as well as playing again :) I am so happy! My K9 weighs about 85 pounds so I give her 1 about every 12-18 hours to try and save a little as the directions say 50-100 pounds should have 2 a day. I will go without to make sure my K( has this product. As a plus note she sort of eats them like a treat.The Bad: CostSummery should be 4 stars cause I feel as though I should subtract a star due to the cost but it has helped my K9 so I will give the product 5 star rating; thus hopefully others will see a good rating and try this product and their K9 Feels better!Bottom Line - I'm 100% positive it has helped my K9!
