I had a Macbook recently crash due to a battery failure. Apple store wanted $700. I thought this would be a great way to do it myself.I ordered this and hoped with steps I found on Youtube, it would be a great fix.-FIrst, the yellow scraper in the photo was not in the box. I had to use a razor blade risking cutting myself and the logic/system board because the seller did not do a quality control check before sending out the product.-Second, the smallest and probably most important tool in the package, the T3 screwdriver (not even labeled properly)...was not molded properly and would not catch on the screws and if I had forced any harder would have stripped the screws and would have lost my entire laptop. I had to go buy an entire specialized screwdriver set for this repair.-Thirdly, the adhesive is not strong enough....period.-Forth....I smelled something funny as soon as I pulled the adhesive sticker off. Like a cross between battery acid, strong paint, solvent, adhesive, etc....something not right. After some research on "Lithium Battery leak" sites....there has to be a leak on my middle battery.-If you look at my picture, you can clearly see there is pillowing on the battery I am talking about above. This is an indication of a hazard that could have caused a fire in my laptop. And another indication that the seller did not do a quality control of my battery before they shipped it out.Lastly....the seller assumed that this battery would work with a 16" 2019 Macbook Pro. It does not work with mine after further inspection. Here is why.At the top connection, there is two parts where the battery connects.1- there is a ribbon cable with 2 connectors. They should easily slide and connect on one side onto the system board and the other side into the battery system board. It dies not connect into the battery system board.2- There is a screw that connects the Positive and Negative charge of the battery into the system board of the laptop in the same area. The OEM screw is too small/narrow to connect into the sellers battery system board. So unless the seller provides an updated screw to connect the charge....there is no way the battery will provide power to the laptop.....period.
