Looks cool, sounds good, but laughs at you every time it's powered up, literally...
I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only request items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.I like audio gear and own several Bluetooth speakers. When I saw this skull speaker I was immediately intrigued with the design. This speaker is a bit smaller than I thought it would be (pictured is it with a dollar bill for size reference) but it still looks good. The overall cosmetic construction is excellent. The back of the skull is grill cloth covered for the passive radiator. The lenses of the glasses are also grill cloth for the main driver(s). It feels well made but not overly heavy. All the attachments and controls are on the back (and well detailed on the listing so I won’t get into them but to say there are ways to direct connect this device if Bluetooth is not an option as well as ability to use a mem card). The only controls on the front is a blue power LED hidden in one of the teeth and the volume controls, which are the two front teeth. Cleaver and well executed. The one thing I do not like is every time you power this guy up it has a sinister laugh that is quite loud, followed by a connection indicating tone. I do not like to hear this thing laugh every time it's powered and would find this very annoying if I was in a more public office setting. After charging with the supplied USB cable (a stereo jack cable and detachable wrist strap are also included) I paired this with my PC. This was a very easy process to do and well detailed in the supplied instructions. All speakers need a break in period for the drivers to soften, and this was no exception. After a few hours with various music the sound quality was good. You’re not going to hold any office rave parties with this guy, but it’s plenty loud to cover up your cubicle mates loud gum chewing with musical bliss. The listing says you can get a second speaker and pair for true stereo sound. A nice feature. As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. I like the look of this speaker and the sound is on par with comparable sized and priced speakers. But that laugh that plays every time it’s powered, annoying. But, yes, I would buy this still.

I like the look
The media could not be loaded. It’s not bad. I use it for a speaker to play video games on my computer monitor and it’s just loud enough. If this was a couple notches lower in sound I would more than likely have to return it. I love the look, besides the blue flashing light. Also his 5 front teeth wiggle left and right, doubt they are supposed to but the volume controls on them still work and ill rarely ever need to lower volume on this so It’s whatever. Would prefer it as just a decoration over a speaker.

Great little speaker
I have to say I am pretty impressed by this little wireless skull speaker. You can use it both in BlueTooth mode and with a wired AUX cord, for those older devices that were made before wireless technology. The speaker pairs easily with your PC, cellphone or other device. It seems to hold a charge for a bit and recharges quickly. The controls and power button are tiny, as is the print on the instructions.A small round button on the back of the head turns on the unit. and you know it's on when you hear the "evil" laugh. The blue light will flash and you can pair it with your device. Just look for the one listed as "Skull". then you're connected. When it's paired it will make a certain tone as it will when you turn it off. From what I was able to figure, the volume can be controlled best through the device you connect it to. The plus and minus keys (on the front teeth) can advance or reverse tracks via iTunes, Media Monkey or whatever player you use. It has memory built in so you probably won't need to pair it again, unless you choose to delete it off the list of blue tooth devices on your computer, etc.I think this thing is super cool looking in my office or on my work area. I love the fact that I don't have to use the blue tooth connection, and I can plug it in as an extra speaker on my old AIWA boombox. The sound is pretty decent for something a little bigger than a softball. Although it will never pack as much sound as two computer speakers and a floor subwoffer, dor just under $20, it's kitschy and fun for kids, or in a setting where space is at a premium.

Adorable Skull
I don't know what it is but I love skulls. I generally like the Día de los Muertos sugar skulls more, but I do like just about any skull. And that this is a wireless speaker makes it even better. The sound is good. I like how portable it is. I can take it in the shower and then move it to my bedroom or wherever really. It doesn't get staticky. Overall I am extremely pleased with this.

Great except for the buttons
Great sound, great battery life, very handy and good quality except the volune and next/previous song buttons are the same. You tap to change songs and hold in to raise volume or lower, depending upon which you push. Want to lower the volume slightly? Just push it for a second. Oops changed songs. Try again, now two songs back. Needs separate buttons for that but other than that is is a great speaker for the cost and love the evil laugh when first turned on.
