It depends on what type of wood the branch is, how long it is and it’s weight. It has a strong grasp. I have caught two 5 foot long snakes with it. I love it!

2 AA duracle or similar. it creates a go focused light that is helpful. when the tip is near the ground it is about 18" wide beam
