Fit as expected ! I bought it one size up so we could layer pants and sweatshirt under for my 7 year old(52lbs). The only complaint I had was the red string that goes around his ankles and arms didn’t stay in place. He just chose not to wear them and still looked great !

I bought the size 8/9 for my sons. They are tall almost 8 year olds but this costume is already inches from the floor. Definitely would be too short for a 9 year old for sure. I would highly recommend sizing up

My 4-yr old grandson loves his ninja custom and wears it all the time. He is husky build and I was concerned it might be too tight. But it stretches and though the arms and legs were a little long, the ties help adjust the length. Since the zipper is on the back, he needs help with zipping it up, but other than that, he can put it on by himself.
