Operation Drvar: A Facsimile of Official KriegsberichterReports on Paperback – Illustrated, 14 July 2008

This is primarily a photo book and does have some very nice photos that are not in general circulation. But the text, which is a direct translaton of the reports filed by the war correspondents who were on the mission adds tremendously to this work.

SCHIFFER DOES IT AGAIN WITH IT'S FIRST TIME PRESENTATION OF A MOST UNIQUE & EXOTIC WW2 HISTORICAL TOPIC! A+! GO GET EM SCHIFFER & PLEASE DO KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC GOOD WORK!A+!

I was very happy to find this book at Amazon and thought this is detailed report of the operation "Drvar".Unfortunately and belive or not it took me about 10 minutes to read the hole book,it is hardly 10 pages on A4 size to read actually with wide spaces between the letters!!Actual report itself sounds like" We came,we landed,we won" and is very, very poor in any information useful to historians,researchers etc. Author has just scaned original German report and put it in this book together with English translation and that is it!You will find some photos of German parachuters without any notes or similar so you have no ideas where they are taken and who people are on these pictures,not so profesional indeed!I am more than disappointed with this book and would strongly advice to everyone not to order it and make a same big mistake as myself,hope this will help somebody.
