Q: is the sleeve winter or for spring

It's cotton, I beleive. So its like a fall/spring coat. More like a sweater. Not heavy at all. I would not let my son wear this for winter and we live in MN. He got this coat for his Ash Pokemon costume last Halloween. He had to wear extra clothing under to keep warm.
