Nook Sleep Twin Mattress (Cloud) - CertiPUR-US Foam Big Kid Mattress - Non-Toxic - 39x75x6

My 3 1/2 year old was close to the end of her crib mattress and my almost 2 year old was ready to move up to take her toddler bed. I didn't want to compromise on quality to save money but I also didn't want to break the bank. Her crib mattress was rock hard and she never slept well in it. My son hasn't loved it either. When I moved her to her toddler bed, I got her an organic latex crib mattress and she slept through the night first time!I read reviews of another popular organic twin mattress being very hard. I decided to take a chance on this mattress despite the lack of reviews (I'm a review hound), although I did other research online and have heard amazing things about the nook pebble crib mattress. Nook is a great company and I trusted their materials would be safe for my child.I received the mattress immediately and it was packaged very carefully. The mattress was vacuum sealed in plastic, then rolled up in a nice burlap-like bag that zipped up and can be re-used. Upon opening the plastic, the mattress began to inflate and I really didn't notice any chemical smell! There was a slight natural scent (I have a sensitive nose to toxins, but it didn't smell chemical) but I let it air out anyway. There was no smell 24 hours later.The organic cotton pebble cover zips off and is very soft. The mattress is very comfortable but not too soft. It's still firm enough to support my little girl without being a board. If they made a king size mattress, I'd be interested!My daughter loves her bed and I've asked her several times if it's comfortable, which she always says it is.I'm super happy with the price, the delivery, and the product. I would definitely recommend this mattress to other Mommies.

I've been spending a lot of late nights researching and thought the reviews were worth Ordering this product. The mattress arrived mid week and my son and I have been talking about setting everything up on Saturday. Saturday is here and my son is still asleep. I've been looking for organic twin sheets online and I took one last look around the web for the certipur stuff and I found this stuff out. [...]I'm horrified! I feel dupped. This mattress was expensive and now I feel like it was expensive AND harmful for my son. Im tired of having to research further into company claims, I have better things to do than to have to research this much just to find a healthy mattress for my son. Exhausted, sad, angry.

Ok, so a huge amount of research went in to this purchase. We needed a loft bed mattress for a kid and the choices are limited for a healthy mattress. This fits perfectly in our princess loft bed, it is heavy so it isn't going anywhere. No box spring needed, it is shallow enough for bunk bed/loft beds (kids) but it is not thin and the outer cover has a cool, comfy pebble pattern.When it arrived it came packaged tightly in a ball, after I opened it I took it outside on a warm sunny day and let it air out as the directions stated. It has no odor at all!The bed is difficult to carry as it is heavy and not rigid, so extra hands maybe needed for the carry upstairs.Sleeping on it: it reminds me of out tempurpedic mattress, it doesn't bounce and movement is dampened.Overall packaged very well, happy with the quality and would purchase again.

We've had this mattress for a few months. My daughter loves it and it seems very comfortable.We are having an issue now because the cover is not actually waterproof and we had been told it was. The online store we bought it from told us it was waterproof. Multiple reviews and comments as well as what I gathered from the Nook website I was under the impression that it was. Everyone seems to say it is and that it can be conveniently washed. IT ISN'T WATERPROOF. This seems like a high price to pay for a mattress that then you need to go ahead and buy and organic mattress cover for. Although, if you knew that going in maybe it's not such a big deal. I'm afraid mine may be ruined now since after so many months, my daughter had an accident on it the other night. It's now still wet. This would also be impractical for moving houses, etc or any risk the mattress could get wet and ruined.From Nook:"A little bit of background about the technology used in the wrap. The Nanosphere Technology is an non-toxic water-based treatment similar to that of Nike Dry Fit or Lululemon allowing for the wicking of moisture and a protected sleep space. The Nanosphere coats each fiber of the fabric prior to its assembly. This allows for continued air flow in and throughout the mattress. This is not a solid coating that blocks oxygen from moving through the fabric, but a protective functional non-toxic seal around the individual fibers. Our wraps are water-resistant, and this allows small messes to bead up on the surface of the wrap for up to an hour and a half at which point they are easily wiped away. Our wraps are not waterproof - as waterproofing material requires plastic or chemical agents. For protection from larger messes, associated with potty training, a water-proof mattress pad should be applied on top of the wrap to protect the core below.

Very happy with product. Was looking for a mattress for my daughter's new bunk bed so it had to be no higher than 6". Wanted a eco-conscious, low VOC, high quality product and am so grateful to have found this on Amazon. On the firm side but comfortable. daughter LOVES it and so do I. We purchased the nook sleep pebble mattress to go in our nursery and it's so comfortable! Firm enough to feel safe for baby while snuggling/feeding. Nice and cool - no overheating.

We love this mattress so much - it's our second and both kids sleep like babies on this mattress!
