Our class at church went through this book together. It led to amazing discussion and brought awareness to every couple of pitfalls that occur in communication. Great for nearly married, newly married, or married a long time. So many great tools!

The authors deliver practical advice that yields tangible results instantly no matter where one is in their relationship. Each author brings unique insights and approaches on dealing with relationships. Some is very simple common-sense--a trait that eludes me when I am embroiled in an emotional issue. Other approaches were new to me and despite being fairly well-read in this area, were real eye-openers. I loved the Christianity that is interwoven throughout the entire test. Having God involved is a must!!My advice is to read and apply everything they suggest, even if you think you've done it before and or "know better." I am constantly amazed how this technique helps to find and remove my personal blind spots. As they say, the minute you think your blind spots are gone, it is time to really start looking deep. So here I go again!In summary, Christian or non-Christian, this book is among my top ten must reads in this genre.

Every married and to-be married couple needs to read this book! My husband and I have been happily married for 10 years and this book was still marriage altering for the best! There are simple activities at the end of each chapter that aid in discussion or you can do as a self study. This was recommended to us by a marriage counselor/psychiatrist and I can't believe its not part of every premarital counseling! Particularly helpful for communication.

This is a great book to work through a healthy marriage or one that maybe needs strengthening. My husband and I have truly enjoyed reading through the text together. I would also recommend it for relationships prior to marriage. There is a lot of helpful information for any relationship.

This is a wonderful book. I purchased it at the recommendation of a friend and it has helped me greatly understand a lot about my marriage and how to better handle situations. My husband and I have only been married a few years and have faced our own struggles like any marriage. This book has guided me through several situations now. The many thing I learned was how to handle those petty little arguments that seem to always turn into great bit ones. My husband has definitely noticed a huge change in me over the past few months. I don't give in to his pettiness any more! ;)lol

It’s a great & detailed devotional. Each chapter is little long, but a great book my fiancé & I are doing with our pastor before we marry. It’s a great book to do for us.

What a great book! Currently reading it through (slowly as I am a slow reader) with my wife. It has great great tips for conflict resolution. As it can be korny at times with the sorts of situations that the example couples find themselves it, it can all be translated to real life. Excited to get to the rest of it soon!

I so appreciated this book which provides practical help for husbands and wives based on solid research and Biblical Truth. A rare and invaluable combo. It's chock full of useful insights and techniques for improving communication, processing conflict, and growing relationships in ways that make it safe for couples to connect in deeper ways. All based on God's design for marriage found in Genesis. Most thorough marriage book I have ever read.h highly recommend it.
