The General of Izril: The Wandering Inn, Book 6

Okay, so I’ll admit I cheated a bit - I haven’t actually read this ebook version. I just bought it to support this amazing author (and to get the cover art).I discovered this series when the delightfully prolific author published the first ebook on Amazon - which I finally bought late last year. It said right in the blurb that these ebook versions could be read for free on the author’s web serial.I enjoyed the first book so much that I bought the rest, then delved into the aforementioned web serial and didn’t come up for air for a few months.Ya see, the author just finished book 8, and the web serial “volumes” don’t sync with the ebook versions, so although this is book 6 of the ebooks, you’re really starting in the middle of volume 4 on the web serial - which currently sits at around 9,000,000 most excellent words, btw.Pirate Aba is staggeringly prolific, averaging well over 1 million published words per year. The only thing more amazing than the weekly word count is the quality, which has consistently improved since the first word of the first chapter.So I clicked “buy now” as soon as this ebook came out and posted this review, even though I read (greedily, insatiably devoured) these chapters many months ago.This entire series is a delight. The characters continue to grow (those that survive) and the world building gets ever more impressive.I’m looking forward to the beginning of volume 9 of the web serial, and needless to say I’ll continue supporting Pirate Aba by buying the ebook versions as soon as they come out.

Aba once again is a masterful writer whose prose creates worlds and tells stories that tug on my emotions in ways that no other other to date has done. Realistic and complex characters who make me cheer for them and cry. 10/10

No agenda that I've seen in recent books. Just great storytelling. I love everything about it. I actually get lost in the separate stories of the characters, then I'm a little disappointed when the storyline switches. Then I realize how much I love the next storyline. Lol.

As this is the sixth book in the series I have read it would be a good guess that I like the story line

No, seriously, wow. This one slowly builds to a crescendo and then, wow. While the first book was slow to build and enjoy, this one is amazing.

An excellent continuation of one of the best series I’ve ever read. I’d recommend the series to anyone, and it only gets better as it goes on, something that few series can claim.
