Great Walk Through 20th Century Fashion History! Bought Two As Gifts for Fashion Students! I did need to remove a couple pages as they were not appropriate for high school seniors. (I would have kept intact if for myself.) But, overall, fantastic! Nice, sweeping survey.

Love this book. I saw it in the store and then found it cheaper via Amazon of course. Anyhow, this is a fairly sizable book, meaning it's got quite a few pages. It is also wonderfully illustrated with tons of examples of how fashion has changed over the years. This is a wonderful read for anyone who follows fashion as it gives you a great sense of how we got to where we are in today's more modern trends. The text is even entertaining for me, which says a lot for myself ;-)

This was a gift I gave to my daughter who had put it on list of "wants". She called me after receiving it telling me how beautiful it was. When I visited her I started looking at it and couldn't put it down. The pages are really beautiful and I loved the modern history of clothes that this shows. The colors are so appealing. This a lovely book with much to offer for anyone interested in the recent evolution of clothes.

It arrived fast and in excellent condition.

Enjoyed turning every page and reading all the captions, the rest of the text i may not ever read because for me, its all about the illustrations. I did learn a couple of things just from that-why artist disrespect commercial artists, for example.Some of those pieces were not art and did not even do their job of making the clothes more appealing. And when the models bodies were just too real-ly human, illustrators could elongate every part from foot to head, helping to create that impossible standard of beauty. Some of the art is just delightful as well, but i will leave it to you to chose your own-i did like quite a few, but also felt that much fashion art that i recall was not included. None the less, the prints are good and there are many. So enjoy.To me, worth the money!

My wife is a professional illustrator and finds this book to be a constant source of inspiration.

The media could not be loaded.  O livro é lindo , porém a capa extremamente frágil, peguei o preço anterior de 127 reais e veio com as bordas lascadas como no vídeo. Falta de cuidado na embalagem para um livro tão caro .

Amo molto la moda ed il disegno. Questo libro stupendo ha soddisfatto tutte le mie aspettative.
