Hello, My Name is Paul Smith: Fashion and Other Stories

Content is more photographic than wordy
This is a nice coffee table book that is well-designed in a tasteful manner. But these are mostly picture narratives and not lengthy write-ups. Flipping through it took me around 10 minutes in total. Was hoping to get deeper write-ups, to be honest.

Great
Great book. My husband loved it. Brought back lots of memories of growing up in Nottingham with Paul in his first shop. Great fun.

Did anyone check this book before it went to print?
On the plus side, the images are great and the content interesting. But the text? I don't think an editor went anywhere near it. The text is repetitive, unstructured and rambling. It leaps from topic to topic without warning. There are repeated words. There are punctuation errors. And that makes for a very irritating read.Paul Smith is well-known for his attention to detail. It's a pity he didn't get to cast his eye over this. Shame. So, five stars for images, two stars for text. Let's call it three.

Great Coffee Table Book
My fiancée picked this book up when we visited the Paul Smith exhibition in London's Design Museum a while back and she loved it. It was almost double the price in the museum so I ordered one from here a little while after and gave it to her as a gift. It's a great coffee table book with really nice photography and layout design.
