Horse Rope Training Halter - 4 Knot 1/4" Stiff Halter Cord - Used by Famous Trainers Multiple Sizes Multiple Colors

I've deleted my review, that I left years ago when I first started purchasing these halters from this company. Went from 5 stars down to 1, due to horrible customer service and the money they take from you for returning anything. Firstly, I've been buying these halters for many years, for all my horses. They're durable, quality, and I like how they're designed. Hence why they're not "cheap" to buy. However, recently, I accidentally purchased 2 of the same halter that I no longer needed. The 2 halters were 2 separate purchases/orders. I followed the return instructions and it said $5.96 would be deducted from my return, per box returned. So i messaged the company asking if i can send them both back in the same box (to save $11.92 from being deducted from my refund). I even prolonged when I was going to send them back, in hopes they would respond. They NEVER got back to me! So I was forced to ship both items separately (meaning they would deduct $5.96 for EACH box shipped back to them). They refunded me, but instead of taking $11.92 from my refund, they took over $15!! I am EXTREMELY upset about this whole ordeal! I was once a loyal customer who made them a decent amount of money, i recommended their halters to many of my clients etc but I wont be anymore. Due to their lack of communication and price gouging their customers. Just doesnt seem like they care about the people they sell to, it's all about how much money they can get you for! And that's NOT what I thought this company was about.

On par with the ridiculously expensive Clinton Anderson halters/lead ropes. I have held this brand and Clintons brand and they are fundamentally the same just without his name on it. Save you some $$$ and get this! I bought this a months ago and it has kept it's color and stiffness after multiple uses. Just to give you an idea on how well this halter works as far as pressure, I use this halter as a bitless bridle. My horse responds better to it than she did when she rode with a bit!

I ordered the standard horse size for both of my boys, and I'm glad I did. I have a 16hh horse and a 14.2hh horse with a small head. The little guy's halter might need a little bit of adjusting, but I'm glad I didn't get the small horse size. A few other reviewers mentioned the small nose size. I didn't have this problem, but I the nose band isn't very big. I'd order big, if you're in doubt, and just adjust the rest of the halter if need be.The rope is perfect. Durable and stiff. With knots placed in just the right spot. Don't waste your money on expensive clinician halters. I will definitely order these again when I need another halter!

I WISH I had read the reviews. I did not because this product had almost all 4 and 5 star reviews. Unfortunately the poor sizing that almost everyone has experienced has not affected the product rating. Its a really nice halter halter BUT the YEARLING SIZE IS TINY. Noseband lays just above nostrils which is not the proper position. I have Arabians and my yearling Arabians have TINY heads. Traditional halters in Yearling size are huge on them. What a SHOCK this was so small. This will fit my Arabian Weanlings. I am afraid to order another one as I would imagine the Arabian size will be too small as its almost exactly the same size in the measurements as the yearling. I would have given this product five stars had it run true to size. You better read the measurement guide because the labels on sizes have zero meaning.

I follow Clinton Anderson and I prefer these halters because the quality is the same and you have the color options! I've been training horses for years and this brand will be my go to from now on! Sizing is accurate as well, the small fits my almost 2 year old 15 hand spotted saddle horse. A couple good things to remember when it comes to these halters: there is ZERO stretch which is exactly what you want, they last forever if taken care of properly, and they are so much easier to use than a traditional halter. Ive actually attached rings to the side points of my older halters and used them as side pulls.

I'm a typical horse husband, don't know much about the wife's hobby. I bought this for her for Christmas, and she really likes it. The knots apply pressure at the right places for control of the animal, it's nice and stiff, and has held it's shape very well. No stretch, which is a good thing for her. She did say that runs small, standard size fits a cob size head. That's from her, not me, I know nothing!

I have a Clinton Anderson 4-knot on loan. This is way better. Lots of color choices at a reasonable price with free shipping. I ordered a large for my 16hh Paint gelding. It's huge so I ordered the standard that fits fine. I found the correct way to tie it online - not what I was taught. The rope is stiff but that's not a problem when you tie it.I have a fancy 2-knot halter. This works much better. My horse has retired from riding due to arthritis and lameness in one knee. He is a very young 27 years old with plenty of energy after a long break. I hoped we would get back to some light riding. No such luck. The 4 knots work extremely well - they get his attention which is why this is so much bettter the usual 2 knot. His brain is back in gear and we are having fun learning long lining and doing some ground work.So many color choices at a reasonable price with free shipping. I ordered a lead line to go with it. The Knotty Girlz have lots of choices for color, weight of rope, length, and style of loop and snap. They use two of the top brands of yacht rope. They came within a few days of ordering.

To any one who says it the wrong size is there own fault in ordering sizes. The material is great, yes it has knots for training as the title says, I bought mine with a matching lead rope to work with a (large) Clydesdale Yearling and the large will be perfect. Color is amazing shipping was great, can’t say enough good things about this.
