Just my luck....
I previously bought a smaller one of these for an artificial stream I made at my parents house which runs great off a solar panel. This larger 2640GPH one is actually going to be used to stir the deep end of a salt water pool which has a failed bottom drain. The pump arrived as expected except the connection for the hose does not fit the pump. They must have accidentally thrown the wrong one into the box. I have two smaller hose connectors with no threaded connector and one 1-1/2" hose connection and connector that does not fit the pump. I only deducted one star because I don't plan on using these anyway (so vendor if you read this don't worry about it)Everything else tested out and works... so really 4.5 stars but Amazon doesn't have that.

EXELENTE.
Buena potencia, y rendimiento.Solo requiere una buena instalación por parte del usuario. Preferentemente cuidar que este trabajando en una superficie bien nivelada...así todos los motores rinden más.

Good head pressure. So far an excellent pump.
I have the 800gph hooked up to a 4’x2’x10” lowboy aquarium housing a group of bichir, with an eclipse 800gph overflow and an eshops 75 sump below. Previously I had two separate pumps hooked up to two returns, after one went out it was hard to find a pump with enough power to lift from the sump, but not so much volume that the sump would run dry or the relatively small overflow wouldn’t be able to keep up. This pump is ALMOST too much for the 800gph eclipse overflow to handle, when turned all the way down to its minimum setting. This is surprising because I assumed the max setting would be 800gph, at zero head pressure. But I’ve got approx 6 feet of head pressure and had to turn the pump control all the way down and disconnect the second pump I had hooked up. I’m surprised at the power of this relatively small water pump for the price and I hope it holds up over time because it’s an excellent product so far.

Flow rate higher than expected
SND-2000 model: Short term review only (several days). The Good: strong flow rate, even with high head hight. Also, pleasantly quiet considering the output. Construction seems solid and the interface is super simple and straightforward. The Bad: The flow rate is too much for my needs. States 520 GPH/20W in the description. After I received it, the owner’s manual rates the pump at 660 GPH/22 W which seems more accurate. I have not tested the actual output, but it seems higher than 520GPH. Also, the “rheostat” is supposed to reduce flow by “30%”, but it definitely doesn’t reduce it by any more than 50% (not measured, but the reduction is barely perceptible).Summery: Excellent pump if you’re looking for a flow rate on the upper end of its rated spectrum. Don’t expect a great reduction on output from the adjustments. You could always add a valve to reduce, but this has been known to significantly shorten the life of pumps in general.

Started leaking after 8 months
Great pump in general, but today found a wet spot on the floor from a leak that had developed in the epoxy seal at the rear of the blue housing. Found the rear bearing gummed up which cleaned out fine with alcohol, and I suppose the heat caused the thin film of epoxy across the back of the body to develop a pinhole leak. I was able to repair it but the leak did cause damage to my floor and has reminded me to teardown pumps on the regular. On the plus side this pump is really easy to disassemble and clean.
