Super Readable, Interesting, and (Dare I Say) Enjoyable Textbook!
We had this textbook for my Language and Society (Sociolinguistics) class and I was a little wary, but it was pleasantly readable, while still being robust! Some meh things were that there were a few charts that were a little confusing because names were abbreviated without letting the reader know and that (while there really was a huge amount of variety in the case studies used!) it felt like there were a lot of examples that just used the same four-ish communities over and over again. In the end, I highly recommend this as textbook (or just a book for anyone who wants to learn more about Sociolinguistics--and I highly recommend wanting to learn more about sociolinguistics if you are in any field of work or situation in life where you communicate with people ; )

Great book but the font kills。
Great textbook but with a tiny font, so I really struggled to read it. Anyway, the material is explained perfectly well for those who want to recap their knowledge of sociolinguistics and make it more systematic .
