CREATESPACE The Book of Wealth - Book One: Popular Edition

I learned about this ten volume set a few years ago. At that time you could only buy an ebook which was made up of scans of the original ten books. So I was excited to see these books are now in reprint. These are not "how to" books on creating wealth but books that takes the reader through a historical journey of the creation of wealth from early civilizations to what would have been present day for the author. (The books were published in 1896). People have consistently been building wealth since the days of Babylonia and Egypt and up to our current day of billionaires. These books are like a timeline of wealth building. Currently only books one through four seem to be in print. And I'm pleased with all four. I really hope the publisher will also print the remaining six books. I really would like a complete set of the reprinted version.

I started reading this book not knowing what to expect, but I was looking for the 'secret' of building wealth, long-term wealth for generations. What I soon realised is that it is a fantastically detailed treatise on how we evolved into a money society. Few of us know or realise that our heritage started by bartering our own goods and services for those of other people or communities, to get what we needed for survival, plain and simple. Without the need for co-operation between individuals and micro-societies we would probably have all starved to death millennia ago.I really cannot wait to read the next 9 volumes to fill in more details of how we got to the situation we are all in now where we basically can no longer look aftter ourselves and our families without money or wealth.

unfortunately this book was very boring , did not realize the book of Wealth comes in different volumes of which this was the most dated
