Adobe Premiere Pro CC For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech))

Poor graphics
The book seems to have been photocopied rather than printed. Paper is thin and the screenshots to illustrate the text are virtually unreadable. The text seems rambling and overly chatty with less focus on step by step use of the program.

A very useful book, very poorly written
The upside of this book come mostly from the "for Dummies" format, which gives you an easy-to-read format, icons for tips and reminders, etc. It's giving me a fairly clear walk-through of Premiere, and I'm glad I bought it.However, the writing is awful, and so is the editing. There are headings where the content beneath them doesn't even mention that topic. There are lots of typos and missing words. John Carucci writes in this flippant, self-congratulatory manner, and he also is like a walking ad for Premiere. You have to wade through piles of how great Premiere is, instead of just getting an objective assessment of its pros and cons. This makes me wonder if I'm really going to hear about any problems with it. It also makes me wonder if Wiley (the publishers) got paid by Adobe to write this book. If so, that is really not acceptable to me, and needs to be declared in BIG BOLD WORDING on Amazon and at the front of the book.I liked the earlier version, by a different writer, better--but this is the only one that's up to date, so I had to buy it. I hope they stop hiring John Carucci. I write books myself, and I know a bad writer when I see one.

Good content but clarity of screenshots poor
The content is well thought out and leads you through how to use the software. The screenshot images are dull and difficult to see the details referred to in the text. Better resolution is required.
