Pro - Beautiful design, absolutely stunning Refurbished looks new Great technical specs Boots very quickly, runs quiet and fast, battery life is good This base model comes with 4gb RAM soldered in, and 4gb removable which can be replaced by an 8gb card giving a total of 12gb instead of the 8gb as delivered. I generally run as much RAM as possible, but this ASUS is quick enough for my usage without adding RAM.Con - The "App Store" failed shortly after setup. Installing apps through a desktop search was fruitless because they would not run without the App Store. I wiped the memory through the "restore" function and went through setup again, and it's ok now. I have since loaded the apps I use (maybe a dozen), and they're running fine. Fingers crossed. My favorite web browser is Google Chrome. I loaded it, and it works fine, but it won't let me set it as default browser in "settings". It works fine and I do use it, so not a huge deal.Update 6/4/17. No problems, battery life not exceptional, but with an i5, it's not disappointing either...much better than my old 15.6", i7 powered laptop. That computer is retired, no faster than this ASUS and less than 2 hours on a charge. The ASUS has 4-6 hours of battery life

Refurbished? I could never tell. Looks and runs great.

Bought this for my niece for college. The laptop is thin, light and very well put together. Metal body, feels solid and well manufactured, not cheap or flimsy at all. Boots fast, walked through the microsoft registration/activation process quickly and was up and running in a couple of minutes. There was very little bloatware on this laptop actually, which other reviewers had commented on as well. I did not remember it was a touch screen but my niece loves it and finds herself using it more than she anticipated. I can't comment on battery life as I don't use it but other reviewers stated it was sufficient. Would buy another Zenbook based on this experience.

Very disappointed with this computer. I bought it right before I left to travel. It was acting up so I thought maybe it was just that one, I returned it and got another one. Different computer same problems, not all functions of the computer work. Freezes too often. And the USB ports work only half the time to charge and never to show it as attached, so impossible to see pictures or files from other devices. Would not recommend. Please when calling the company there is no answer.

I purchased this laptop about 6 months ago. Since the beginning the hinge on the screen was very loose and would wobble extremely when trying to use the touch screen. After about a month or so, I gave up using the touch screen because it was too shaky. Then just yesterday, the inner plastic portion of the hinge finally gave up and broke internally, not allowing the laptop to close properly (see photos). The computer itself is running fine but I can not close the laptop, so essentially can't take it anywhere. I have reached out to the seller and waiting a response back soon. I am hoping that the manufacturer warranty would cover things like this and offer a replacement.

All those people who think Mac's are there best computers will be forced to kneel before you in awe. The build quality is amazing. The fact that it has a touch screen is sure to make you friends every time you show it off. And believe me you'll look for chances to show it off. Just don't show it off around people who will steak it because then you'll cry.

As an old user of Asus, this one fulfill the expectations, same for refurbish, is a real factory quality.

Great computer. Fast, lightweight, long battery life, backlit keyboard...all that good stuff.Came with extras like a thin computer sleeve and two adapters.My only beef with this ASUS is that the screen is reflective. You can always get an anti-glare screen protector, but it's just extra trouble.Other than that, I love it. Great price as well!
