Two Thumbs Up
We wanted a kettle for the stove to heat the water for the espresso pot. The look, feel, pour, temperature gage and sturdy design is very good. The temperature gauge really helps in getting the water at the optimum temperature. When it is reached we pour it into the espresso pot, keep the lid up on the espresso pot and away we go. the ground coffee does not cook doing it this way and the results are excellent. We have the one liter size and it is perfect for us. It's also great for getting the water perfect for tea. We wash it after every use in soapy water and dry the interior and exterior of the kettle lid and thermometer. BE AWARE to remove all the plastic parts...on the thermometer probe and the top of the thermometer (a disk of clear plastic - you may have rub it with alcohol to remove the stickiness) .

Game Changer.
Originally bought a coffee dripper and at first was struggling to pour water over the coffee with any control or consistency using a conventional electric kettle (UK).I almost baulked at the price of these things, however after reading lots of reviews and recommendations I decided to take the plunge and wow, what a difference it's making to my dripper coffees! The pour is slow and gradual making it much easier to get all your grounds wet and the balance of the kettle makes the accuracy of your pour easier too. The thermometer is also great as it lets you get the perfect temperature which is also vital when making coffee.I've read a few complaints that it doesn't whistle, but for pour over coffee you don't actually want the water boiling, so this wouldn't be a good feature. People also complaining that when they do boil water in it, it comes out the spout. The instructions explicitly say a maximum volume to put in the kettle to stop this happening, so people are clearly over filling it. If you use enough water for 2 coffees (as much as a dripper would hold anyway) this comes nowhere near enough to have water bubbling out the spout. It sounds to me people making these complaints are trying to use it like a conventional kettle which it is not!Anyway, despite the price, this is a great bit of kit for making pour over coffees and I wouldn't go back to not having one. A must for any coffee brewing enthusiasts!

Almost perfect
This kettle is really nice. Integrated thermometer with ideal coffee temperature range clearly marked in yellow. Handle seems sturdy enough, and is tack welded on vs riveted (I favor this design since it is much easier to clean, though poor tack welds might fail sooner than a bad rivet). Handle insulation works great. My only gripe is the vent holes in the top are too small. If you boil fast (I've got an induction cooktop), water droplets can splash up and occlude the holes. It turns out the surface tension is great enough that the pressure builds sufficiently to force water out of the gooseneck instead of blowing the water out of the hole. I drilled out the holes oversize and that problem went away. If you boil slower or can drill some holes, then this is a great kettle. I removed one star accordingly. They really could have drilled two larger holes instead of three. For reference, I enlarged them to about 1/4" size (I used a machinist twist drill I had handy, didn't note the size, and don't care to measure it now)

Perfect for me
I really love this little kettle with the temperature gauge, showing me exactly when it is ready to make the best cup of coffee. Gauge is well protected and item is easy to keep dry.
