The original cable was non-functional when it was received.
I stated that I would update this review when I received the replacement cable. It came in yesterday and works perfectly. So I’m changing my rating from one star to four.————————————————————-I never had the opportunity to know if I liked the cable or not. It was defective and would not carry the FireWire signal from my Presonus 24.4.2 Studio Live mixer to my MacBook Pro, either because of a wiring error, a continuity error, or simply a bad wire in the cable.I guess that that means I did not like the cable and I currently have an upset musical group whose music I could not record.I will update this review if the replacement cable worlds like I expect it to.

Great! Perfect!
This is practical and a great way to bring back to life firewire 400 devices.After a long time-off, I was able again to connect my FIREWIRE 400 gorgeous Eyesight camera. I'm in love again with my Mac Pro.
