From the Orient to the Occident: Or, L. Boyer's Trip across the Rocky Mountains, in April, 1877

I am the great great granddaughter of Lanson Boyer and have the original book and print plates. The book is so fragile I had been afraid to handle it to read it. I was both surprised and delighted to discover it is still in print. I enjoyed the glimpse of life in the 1870's, and reading my great great grandfather's words.His descriptions of Mammoth Cave, the train and wagon journey through the West, and 1877 San Francisco are fascinating. I think that anyone interested in American history would find it interesting.
