Bad USB connector, Good size (updated to 5 stars)
Update 12/13/2017I contacted customer support and told them of my issues. The agent said he was not aware of others having this issue so its likely a single product defect. He gladly shipped a new unit to my house with a prepaid label to ship the original one back directly to them. It arrived about 6 business days later. I tested it out on two laptops with multiple usb ports and it functioned much better. I am now 100% satisfied with the product and service so I'm upgrading to 5 stars.I will say that while not perfect fit for my large hand, its definitely a major improvement from a standard sized mouse and I hope in the long run it will alleviate some minor pains I've been experiencing at work. The price is well worth the try!---END OF UPDATE---So I need a large mouse for work because my wrist is starting to strain. Its been over 10 years working at a desk and I need to ditch the tiny mice my company provides. I saw a review from a different product from someone else with large hands recommending this mouse so I figured I would give it shot. The pros to the mouse is it is pretty large. It fits my hand really well and even though its only been a few days I can tell that it will help alleviate the typical pains I experience. From the base of my hand to the tip of my longest finger (middle) is about 8.3" so you have an idea. The mouse could be slightly larger to fit my hand, but honestly I'm not that picky because it certainly is a major improvement in comfort. The cons is the mouse usb connector is VERY finnicky. It took almost 45 minutes to realize that I wasn't having driver issues but the usb connector wasn't properly connecting in my laptop. It was frustrating because I followed the instructions exactly. Rebooted several times as well. I tried actually two laptops, total of 7 usb ports, and all of them functioned erratically. The mouse connector appears to not be making secure contact with the usb ports and it causes the computer to disconnect and reconnect the mouse at times. Perhaps in a stationary environment with absolutely no tugging or movement the mouse will stay connected, but its not reliable. I even tried to inspect the size of the connector with another cable and to my naked eye I can't see much difference. I'm not sure exactly what is wrong. If the manuafacturer/seller doesn't contact me then I'll probably reach out in a few days asking for a replacement, but I'll wait to see if they see my review to start the process of replacing it. I sincerely want to give it another shot and will update my review when/if that happens. Also there's a slight rattle inside the mouse, so I'm guessing maybe it was damaged in transit? Either way I'm not quite giving up yet.

Not only for gaming
Update: 6 months later. J-Tech Digital customer service was awesome to me!Had a recent issue with the mouse. Random disconnects started happening a couple days ago. Thinking it might be a problem with the USB port, I plugged into a different one. This seemed to help, so I continued using the mouse as usual and everything was working. The next day I experienced the same random disconnect. Again, I tried different USB ports and sometimes it would connect and sometimes it wouldn't. Finally, I plugged it into another computer and had the same disconnect.I decided to put the warranty to work and contacted Customer service to explain what was happening. After submitting my Order # from the original purchase, I was notified that a new mouse was being sent to replace the non-functioning one. Nice job!I received the replacement today and it was new and sealed. Works exactly like it should. Hopefully it last a little longer!<Original Review>It was time to replace a well worn 5-button mouse. I'm not a full-time gamer but occasionally play the FPS. I use the buttons to help with work flow when doing audio editing, PShop, and video. Being able to program buttons for certain keystrokes makes content creation much faster. When I'm recording/editing audio, I can use one of the buttons for deleting selection areas or undo or moving to various markers in a session. For PShop, I can program buttons so I can do specific tasks along with keyboard hotkeys.Like I said, I'm not a gamer. My main gripe about the mouse is the buttons are very easy to click which causes me to accidentally click the right mouse button at the worse times. I rest my hand on the mouse the same way I've always done, so changing how I place my fingers on the mouse isn't the best option. I assume that gamers like fast buttons to help with their speed. It could be the shape of the mouse, but I've never had the issue until this one. It might take me some time to get used to it.

All buttons are not programmable
I got this because I had surgery on my right arm and I needed a mouse that could be used ambidextrously until I healed. The two main mouse buttons could be switched but that was it (via Windows mouse settings) .The supplied software did not work.I tried reinstalling from disk and downloading from their site.Nothing worked, the software eventually stopped working all together.Waste of money for what I needed it for.Worked fine if you want to plug and play. The button on top that changes the mouse sensitivity is in a bad spot too, so it would often change settings when you didn't want it to.There are better mice out there for similar $$

Same as my old mouse, very ergonomic and utilitarian!
This mouse is exactly the same as my old Allreli mouse! I bought the first one from Allreli on Amazon in Dec 2015. 21 months later the mouse scroll wheel broke, so I shopped around but settled on this JTD M999 and got exactly what I had before. I'm very happy as Allreli discontinued this model. It's got symmetry so I can use it with my left hand. It's a lightweight mouse with low click force. Pretty much plug & play without the CD. Being able to control volume with the side buttons is really useful. This doesn't have scroll wheel tilt but I don't understand why any mouse does. The scrolling action is soft unlike most mice. The cord is durable and a few inches over 5 feet long, just like it was on the Allreli mouse. I tie the cord with a twisty tie to my keyboard cord where they exit my keyboard tray and that prevents the cord from ever getting in the way/dragging. I used the previous mouse very heavily for gaming and general use and got lots of value out of it.

Get a cheap mouse elsewhere. Clearly used, and not well maintained.
From the get-go, I was suspicious of the box--it was opened, and clearly not packaged by a manufacturer. I was a little irritated, but whatever. Then I got to the mouse, though. It was (and still is!! Goo Gone only has so much effect!) covered in a sticky residue that wouldn't come off for ANYTHING.A week later, and I've finally got a bottle of Goo Gone, and it's at least coming off slightly. Only reason I haven't returned it is because it's not worth the effort for such a cheap mouse.I'll update this review once I've cleaned it off and have actually tested it out, but in the meantime it gets two stars.
