Perfect sandwich or anything else you want to put in them containers!
When these arrived I was immediately impressed with the thickness of the plastic and overall quality. The closure is easy to operate and airtight. The depth is perfect for sandwiches even on larger sized bread. I'm using 3 of these when I go fishing to hold all parts of my lunch. Eliminates crushing and provides a great little plate for chips, fruit etc when eating. Buy these with absolute confidence...A++ :O)

Comparison of Komax Biokips sandwich container with Sistema KLIP IT Collection sandwich container
I've been searching for good sandwich containers for a month or so, and finally narrowed it down to two: the Komax Biokips container 23 oz. (this item) and the Sistema KLIP IT Collection sandwich container 15.2 oz. referenced in the headline. I ordered both, each in a set of 3, and since they were just delivered I thought it might be useful to share my initial impressions. In my attached photos, the Sistema has blue trim and the Komax has yellow trim.First some rough measurements, since those posted on Amazon can be somewhat confusing. The Komax containers, made in South Korea, weigh 5.4 oz. empty and the bottom portion holds about 3 cups of liquid - not that most people would be putting liquid in them, but it gives an idea of capacity. The Sistema containers, made in New Zealand, weigh 3.7 oz. empty and the bottom portion minus the top holds just under 2 cups of liquid. The difference in capacity is most obvious when the containers are viewed from the side.In terms of inside linear measurements - since the inner ones are probably most important - the Komax containers measure 5-1/4" square and the depth without the top is about 1-3/4". With the top, which of course gives additional room for the sandwich, the Komax container depth is almost 2". The Sistema containers measure 5-3/16" square and the depth without the top is about 1". With the top, the Sistema container depth is about 1-3/8".I tried both containers with many types of bread including Dave's Killer Bread and the sandwiches I made all fit in both containers, although it was a tight fit in the Sistema ones. But even if the containers "squish" the sandwiches a bit when the top is locked on, I don't think it really matters and it could even be an advantage in the sense that the sandwich holds together better when picked up if it has been slightly compressed. Of course, a thicker sandwich - for example, two slices of turkey, two slices of cheese, lettuce, and tomato - would fit more comfortably in the Komax containers.I can't be sure about durability at this stage, but the Komax containers weigh more and have a sturdier feel. They latch from above (i.e. by pressing down) on all four sides, whereas the Sistema ones latch from below (by pulling up) and on only two sides. More to the point, I think the Sistema latching system may be more prone to fail, since one of the containers I received arrived with a broken hinge on one side (see photo); I found the tiny broken-off piece of plastic in the packaging. Importantly, it's still possible to lock that Sistema container, but it's a little awkward. For now, I'm going to use both brands of containers alternately and will report back if there seem to be any important functional differences. I do like the basic size and square shape of both, as well as the locking system. The square Sistema sandwich containers are not claimed to be leak-proof, although that claim is made for the Komax containers. I haven't tested this, since I plan to use them only for sandwiches and maybe carrots and celery.

Sandwiches are happy, I'm happy
Lunch sandwiches seem to enjoy these containers. They come out fresh, not soggy, and nothing seems to escape the container. Since my sandwiches are happy, I'm happy too. Also, the containers clean up easily and have kept a good seal through many dishwasher washings.

These will last much longer
I have been using these for years to put my sandwiches for work in. I have used other brands in the past and the hinges wear out quite soon but these have thicker hinges and last much much longer. If you make bigger sandwiches it can be a bit of a challenge to get in but I love the products anyways.

little bigger than I wanted
These are excellent sandwich containers, but for giving the kids in their lunch box, they are a little big. Put this in there and a small drink and there is not much space for anything else.Take the child lunch box out of the equation and these are solid, well sealed containers. No leaks and airtight. Remind me of the snapware containers, which are so expensive.

They work well for us
These containers are working well for us. I can see where they might be hard to open for some people, but I would think more people (including me) would find typical Rubbermaid seals even more of a pain to deal with, in trying to get your finger under the seal to pry it open (a process which tends to cause them to crack - because of the way these Biokips containers lock, there is no stress on the lid). They seem super sturdy, and after maybe 5 cycles through the dishwasher, they don't look like they are suffering at all. My only fear is that the plastic in the hinges will break after a lot of usage. They are probably deeper than necessary for a typical sandwich, but the extra height is nice for packing a generous amount of a salad; I was actually surprised when I started filling one just how much it could hold. It helps (in terms of capacity) that the lid rests on top of the sides, unlike ziploc/rubbermaid where because of the way it seals, the lid ends up taking up the top part of the container interior (hopefully that makes sense). Bought a second set already.

Perfect Height
These are the third sandwich containers I have tried and I guess the third time is the charm! They are the perfect height for actual sandwiches. Every other container is way too small, so you end up smushing your sandwich. Not these! These will not smush, nor are they too high that your sandwich will fall apart. Just right. With a top that locks into place and four interlocking smaller containers for snacks, sauces, etc., these containers check each box for me.If you’re buying for kids’ sandwiches that are basically just two pieces of bread, get a skinnier one. If you’re buying for normal sized adult sandwiches, look no further.Edit: My earlier review neglected the removable compartments, and I tried them for the first time this morning. So far, so great. I used them for the condiments from my leftover Thai food. The sauce containers fit perfectly and snugly, WITH the lids on! God, I love it when things fit.

IT's not set of 3
It is not a set of 3. I just got 1. I am returning it. The price is crazy high for just 1 container. I feel like I was scammed.
