Protect Pad –Rubber Axle Stand Pad – Protect Your Car When Jacking It Up with a Jack Stand – Made from Highly Durable Rubber

Dangerous
These are an expensive item for a lump of rubber, but I ordered two because I have heavy duty axle stands and I needed something that would fit the top of the stand, accommodate the seam weld on the jacking point and withstand 3 tonnes. When they arrived, they looked really good quality and sturdy, so I thought they would be excellent for the job. I lowered the car onto the first stand and the pad fitted the stand and the car like a glove. However, when I raised the car on the other side to position the second stand there was a 'crunch'! Going back to the first stand, I discovered that the rubber had slipped off the stand (see first photo attached) and the car was now resting on the [weak] sill supported by the bare metal seat of the stand. I was really lucky that this did not cause damage to the vehicle or, worse, me!The second photo shows how the pad seems to be the correct fit for the axle stand and the third photo shows the 'skid marks' on the underside of the pad where it slipped off the stand and distorted the pad. The rubber has a 'greasy' feel to it, which is probably why it slipped off so easily. Also, the side walls of the pad are too thin and do not support any lateral movement such as raising the other side of the vehicle; this could also be dangerous if the front of the vehicle was supported by two stands and someone lent on the side of the vehicle, because it would easily slip off the stands and crush anyone underneath it.I cannot see a way of contacting the seller and the warranty card that came with the pad has a web site address that does not work.

Doesn't fit Amazon Basis 3 tonne stands
Didn't fit my Amazon basics 3 tonne axle stands, even though I measured everything up to the dimensions advertised. The block just slides straight off, as per the other reviewer's photos. To be honest it's very dangerous. Also note only one block is provided. Returned for a refund.

Only one pad
I was expecting 2 pads as axle stands come in pairs.... having read the ad again it is not clear it is only one pad that has been ordered. that makes it far too expensive in my book for a block of Rubber...

Great Quality
The pad is well described, if you own a vehicle made by VW, Audi, Skoda etc (VAG Group) the tapered slot may be a bit narrow as the slot is tapered, and the jacking points on these cars is 16mm wide. My fault for not checking, definitely not the pad manufacturers!

Fits a 2016 E Class Merc perfect
I spent ages researching what was needed to help jack up my 2016/17 E220d Saloon as didnt want to break the jacking points under the side skirts.I have run flat tyres and the car didnt come with a jack so needed something to help. This item is perfect - fits perfectly in the hole under the Merc (front and back) and fits in the jack perfectly. If you are thinking of jacking up your Merc with trolly jack then you need this otherwise you will destroy the underside jacking point and more.
