They label these as "wool" but I've washed them in the machine over and over with no problem. I do air dry them on my clothes rack. They fit very snug but I like them. No falling down or loose in my boots.

I was traveling to Iceland and Scotland in winter so layers were important. These were nice and tight and was able to put my thermals over them. And a bigger thicker pair of socks while hiking glaciers. Just wore them under regular pants in Scotland and kept warm. Very tall and liked they went to my knees.

These socks were very comfortable and kept my feet warm this past season. I was surprised at how well they works while skiing in 15 degree weather in Colorado. Will definitely buy again, but they show no signs of wear after a complete season (8-10 weekends). Great socks at a great price!

These socks do not disappoint. Tall, stays up all day during exercise and work. Keeps your feet warm, has extra padding and are worth every penny.

The three pairs of socks have a nice color design, which I like. It is made of 31% Merino wool per the website. I order the large size (men's 8.5). The fit was good and comfortable, with some cushioning. The socks did reach to my knees, so they will clear ski boots. In review of other ski socks made of Merino wool, you only get one pair for the same price as these three. However, those are made of 65% Merino wool. Will be skiing later in the week and will provide update on how socks handle the cold. Rated 4 stars for now.Update as of 3/22/23: Went on a couple of ski-trips with these socks. On real cold weather days, 5 degrees F to 15 degrees F, my feet started to feel cold/numb after 3 hours on the slopes. Taking a break in the Lodge helped to get the feeling back in my feet. Weather 20 degrees F and above was no problem for these socks. Had them through the wash a bunch of times and they still look new.

I bought these for my son. All the key cushioning spots make a huge difference when skiing all day. I wash in cold then hang to dry. My son says they are very comfortable.
