great quality and performance
I fish out of daytona beach. I recently started researching slow pitch jigging and its so exciting. I bought the 661mh and paired it with a penn fathom star reel size 12(smallest one)(has 6-1 retrieval) with 500 meters of ocea jigger braid with a rating of pe1.5. This combination is perfect for a budget friendly slow pitch jigging set up. Slow pitch fishing rod reel braid combo can cost well over 1000 dollars. I have total invested with the pole, line, and reel. under 500 dollars. I have caught some monster red snapper with this set up. i use 150-200 gram slow pitch jigs with this set up. I like the saltiga sk jigs. Im still new to all of this and im still learning about slow pitch jigging.

Very nice jigging rod for the money
Nice rod , can’t wait to try it out Saturday. Packing was excellent. Rod came in a thick cardboard tube. Gonna buy another one soon.

Impressive rod!
This is my go to rod for Tautog. I had it paired with a Tranx 401A and it was a light setup, but the Tranx had drag issues after 3 uses so I'm returning that to Shimano to "evaluate" for warranty. So now it's currently partnered with a Tekota 500 and it seems to be a solid combo. It's light enough for fluke and strong enough for big tautogs! Surprisingly it has plenty of backbone to crank for every inch of line for the amount of flex it has. No problem highsticking this rod! Definitely a huge value that allows weekend warriors like myself to beat the fish and not by your pole.

Not Bad For the Money
I am very new to this slow pitch thing. My review is simply for the rod not how it works. Quality is pretty good except the first eye is not centered to the reel seat. The real seat is supposed to be a Fuji but it is awful cheap and looks like it will break, especially when you are supposed to winch fish in with the reel and not the rod which has a very light tip on purpose. I have a small Penn Fathom on it and the reel clamp hardly fits on the reel. Without a reel clamp, the reel seat is sure to break and I am sure you would lose your reel in the process. The front part of the reel seat that holds the reel, is plastic! As a starter rod, it's probably OK especially since it is a lot cheaper than the Jap models. I'll see if I get into this slow pitch thing, and if so, probably buy a better rod down the road. I guess you know the rod eyes end up upside down on the tip of the rod as they should in this kind of jigging. Beware of a company on Google selling this rod for $69. It is a scam.

Defective rod? Non existent customer service!
On second trip offshore, the rod tip broke wow resting in the rocket launcher on my boat in moderately choppy Seas. Given that there seem to be some type of defect with the rod I tried to contact the manufacturer. I left six messages and never heard back from them. Their customer service is non-existent. I have purchased tsunami rods and conventional reels in the past and found them to be decent products but in light of their abysmal customer service I would not recommend any of their products at this point.

Quality meets affordability.
Fantastic jigging rod that’s able to handle 4-6oz although it performs best when in the 1-3oz range. I’ve used it for a year at this point and have it paired with a Maxell HY20; it’s such an amazing setup, highly recommend it if your budget allows.
