Product description says item fits most garden hoses. The female fitting inside diameter is 7/8”, whereas the outside diameter of a standard garden hose is around 1”. The item will not fit over the male garden hose connection, and further the item has a nonstandard pipe thread as opposed to the standard garden hose threading. Not sure what this was made for but certainly will not connect to a garden hose.

The name of the product says it is a 7/8 inch thread. However, a standard garden hose bib is 3/4 inch NPT thread. Perhaps it works for sprayer threads, one of the uses described. However, if you intend to put this on a standard US garden hose as many of the pictures and descriptions of this product show, this will not work unless you buy an additional adapter.

Use it for siphoning sap from my sap buckets. It’s the perfect size.

The product description is inaccurate and misleading. It Does Not fit standard Garden Hose. 0 - Stars for wasting my time and money. 1 Star because the screen and plastic seem to be decent quality but not as advertised.I always read the reviews prior to purchasing but this one time... I was in a hurry and trusted the description and of course when I absolutely needed it to fit and work (the next day). when I attempted to assemble the hose filter filter to pump out water of a trench from a water leak to repair the pipe.I had to use without a filter. Not good on a light duty non-trash pump.
