I've ordered two tubes of this stuff, from two different vendors, and both of the tubes arrived damaged. The first one had a bent nozzle, canted severely in order to fit into the shipping package. The caulk was oozing at the nozzle/tube connection. What are the odds that another tube would be similarly damaged, I thought, and ordered a replacement. I was sorta right and sorta wrong: this nozzle was jammed deeply into the tube, with just the tip poking out, like a turtle's head inside of its shell.I give up.(Edit: The vendor "Great Household" did not give me a postage-paid label; sending it back would cost me $14, more than what I paid for the item. They have not responded to an email. So, effectively, the defective item is nonreturnable.)

Used two tubes for a remodel and worked well.

I bought several different acoustical sealants to compare. This brand is very difficult to push out of the tube - need high-pressure gun - I asked the manufacturer and that is normal. Advantage it probably has no shrinkage - others are easier to apply but will shrink as the carrier bleeds off. But Amazon has terrible packing - two of the different companies - this one the worst have the nozzles jammed into the tube - this one appears heavier than the others since minimal solvent maximum caulk so is easier to damage in shipping IMHO. Seems great if you have a high-pressure gun, but until Amazon figures out how to ship single tubes of caulk buy from somewhere else. I am staying with USG which is the industry standard for acoustical engineers for decades. There are others I tested that I will not recommend - too think, too much shrinkage, etc. Just because it is called acoustical sealant from a well-known company, does not mean it is "good" acoustical sealant.

Room is really sound proof. It works well.
