Very insightful and well written

This book is full of great ideas for developing social/emotional skills for kids (and even some good ideas for adults)! It’s broken down into skill areas (empathy, resourcefulness) and each section has building blocks and stumbling blocks for each gender. Each section ends with practical how to steps with activities, book book recs, etc. It is a great read!

No matter how old your kids are, it is never too late to read this book. It digs in deep and gives helpful, practical advice. A definite must read!

My husband has loved reading this book. He can’t put it down. It is clear and concise and an easy and informative read.

i have underlined and highlighted so much. it was such an easy read!!!! i love how each section is broken down into girls and boys. the practical ideas at the end of every chapter is phenomenal and helped put some of the things i learned into action. these authors are wonderful. i will be reading more of all of their books.there were so many books referenced in this one that are now on my reading list. thank you !

Best parenting book I've read in quite awhile! Loved everything about this book--their approach, how the book was organized, the wealth of examples and ideas provided, their thoughtful response to the more recent childhood challenges (e.g. increase in anxiety) and Christian perspective. It helped me realize the root cause of my 5 year old's meltdowns. They obviously know, love and help a lot of different kids, and I will be referring back to this book often.

We have purchased a number of books to help guide us as we attempt to shape our granddaughter into caring, responsible, contributing person. This is one of the best (along with Love And Logic). Covers newborns to teens honestly. Focuses on key problems and offers reasonable approaches for most of them.I loved that one of the authors said she basically tells all teenage girls that the are a mess, but don't need to be that way forever (paraphased) .

Great book! I bought this to go along with the podcast. Not only has it been helping me with my children... but also has helped me grow as a wife, mom and person in general. It’s a great book and a great Podcast!
