Real Meat Air Dried Beef Dog Food, 2lb

We use this for training purposes. The dogs like it as much as the best treats they have ever had and unlike many dog products, it smells good enough to eat. This product comes in small rectangles that can be broken into smaller bits for training and a bag lasts a very long time. The ease of breaking the pieces is unusual in training treats and doesn’t persist on your hands so much. If it didn’t cost so much, we would get it all the time for training (about half their total food).

Ok, my 16 lb Shihtzu was born with a poor immune system and has suffered with ear infections, skin problems and misery for the first 7 years of her 9 year life so far. I cannot believe how much money I’ve spent with vets and pet stores trying to get her help. 2 years ago I finally found a vet who believed it stemmed from food allergies. She removed ALL commercial pet food and had me start with a pinto bean and sweet potato diet meanwhile ordering an allergy test. Sure enough, my girl had numerous reactions to grains, grasses, weeds etc. Her biggest reactor was to flax… a product found in many high quality dog foods.Then I found ZP from New Zealand lamb and venison foods with green mussel. Very expensive but she has thrived on it so that’s what she gets along with occasional broccoli carrots potatoes and apples.Recently, I found Real Meat advertised on Amazon and noticed not only was it very similar to ZP… it had great reviews AND it is about 25% less in cost. I asked for feedback on how it compared to ZP and got favorable responses so I ordered three 2 lb bags of lamb, beef and turkey venison.The food looks good, smells good and appears very fresh. My girl gobbled it up.. something she hasn’t been doing with ZP in awhile. (The orders have not looked fresh and one bag was powdery. Amazon immediately replaced it for me.I do not use this food as a topper unless I prepare home cooked food for her, but with the cost savings (plus reduction in vet trips, meds and her improved health) I will continue to keep her on this food.Thank you to those customers who recommended RF to me.

These little tiny pieces are perfect to go in your pocket for quick and tasty training treats. I use them to teach “heel” and they are fabulous for what I call “Jack potting” a recall!! I’m a dog food nerd, so I’m very picky about the treats. I do food and love the quality of the ingredients in this product.!

My dog loses his mind when I toss these treats around. Don't get in the way, he'll take you out chasing those treats down. Big bag is a better deal.Yeah, too many crumbs, knocking this down to 4-stars.

My dogs absolutely love it... I give them a 1/8 scoop at lunch (I have small dogs!) and sometime sprinklea few on their dog food. Also comes in lamb which they also love! I will continue to buy this product!

Wonderful product with quality ingredients. Dogs love them. I don't use as a food but as a training treat. Sized just right for my 50 to 65 lbs Malinois. The "chips" of food can be broken into smaller pieces if desired but the chip is substantial enough one can toss a handful into a coat pocket without them turning to dust. In a jean pocket them would crumble however. For two pounds this is a great price compared to those tiny bags of "dog jerky' treats that are $8 to $15 for 3 to 4 oz.
