Well made, very sturdy, general purpose wide-mouth tool bag
This "Weller Soldering Station Storage Case" is a well made, general purpose wide-mouth tool bag. It is very sturdy. I didn't use it to store my soldering gear, but instead, I used it to carry some pretty heavy tools, and it holds up well. Its about 15-20lbs of stuffs that I haul around in this bag, and so far, it doesn't seems to mind at all.The handle is sturdy and comfortable (even when carrying quite a bit of weight). The zipper is smooth and seems durable. The mouth is reinforced with a wire, hence, when it is open, it keeps its form and open widely. The bottom has a 14" x 9" footprint, and the storage is about 9" tall when opened. There are side pockets inside and outside too for you to stash you smaller tools/parts too.Overall, this is a good tool bag, for your soldering stuffs, or for any of your stuffs. The material is good and the design (color) is attractive. And the most important thing, is that it is sturdy. It is priced very reasonable too.Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.

All-around excellent and tough bag for soldering gear. The shoulder strap should be better.
Very nice and convenient smaller bag for carrying soldering supplies and equipment. It's made for Weller, and I intend to store one of my Weller soldering stations in it, but actually it's a useful bag for carrying all sorts of things in. Before I could use this for storing soldering gear my wife co-opted it to carry supplies to the hospital when our daughter was admitted for a few days.I got it back, so it's time to use it for its intended purpose. It's big enough for a complete soldering station (or gun), plus supplies like solder, tip cleaner, sucker, etc. Here's what's great about it:+ Rectangular footprint, so it easily fits on the shelf with other things.+ The bag is made from two layers of a very thick and tough nylon weave. This bag is made to take some use and abuse, and I think it'll last.+ The handles are round and padded, making for a comfortable carry.+ The zippered opening has metal rod along the edges, making it rigid. When pulled apart the opening is large and rectangular, as big around as the bottom of the bag. This makes putting things into the bag (and removing them) extremely easy.+ There are pockets all around the outside and along the longer sides inside. The bottom of the bag is semirigid, with four rounded, plastic feet. The only thing I don't like about it is the shoulder strap. The clips are rather cheap and nonpivoting, and there's no padding. Fortunately, shoulder straps are replaceable.

Great Bag but very bad smell - can be mitigated however.
BagThe bag itself is great. the top closure is wire reinforced and maintains shape well. The entire inside and outside perimeter is lined with small pockets. The zipper is well stitched. The feet on the bottom are great.Should StrapThe should strap seems undersized and the padding is one of the thinnest I've ever seen and feels like cheap plastic. The shoulder strap does not seem like it "goes with" the bag and is of lower quality all together. The Good:The bag itself is very nice , rugged well made. The zipper large and easily operated. It holds my soldering gear well and have no complaints. The Bad:This has an awful chemical small -- like the smell from an imported tool store or low quality rubber products from the dollar store or discount hardware store. I think the worst of it is the should strap -- in particular the rubber part, which I had to take out of the house as it smelled so bad. I think the bag itself is fine but the smell hasn't completely dissipated yet. My recommendation is to remove the should strap rubber portion as the bag will probably be fine once it airs out enough and wash the strap with vinegar and water and put in sun and allow to air out.Verdict:If you don't need a should strap or take action to address the smell this is a fine product and works very well.

Very strong chemical odor, possibly petroleum based
This is a small gate mouth bag that I wanted to love. It appears to be well made and sturdy, with all the straps and pockets it is advertised to have. I think it would be handy for lots of storage and organization purposes. When it arrived, another household member opened the box it arrived in and opened the bag to air it out when they smelled the odor. Later I was working on my computer in the next room when I noticed the strong odor and went to investigate. I was very disappointed that the strong odor was emanating from this bag.I am allergic to petroleum products so we put the bag outside to give it a chance to air out. I hope this helps because it would otherwise be very useful. I do not think the bag is washable but if I can't get rid of the odor by airing it out I will try hand washing it to see if that works. It is made in China, where I have read the rules are different regarding pesticides and other noxious chemicals being allowed on consumer products. I suspect they have different product flammability standards also. Because I don't know whether the odor is from a chemical that can be absorbed through the skin, I have to be careful.I will try to come back and update this review after I try to get rid of the odor.
