My LG front loader is back to new after replacing the pump. Fast and easy job.

This was to replace a replacement pump that lasted only 2 yrs and it failed in one day! I dont recommend it.

first - let me be clear on this:this particular one/brand, is NOT the first, nor has it been the last i've bought - ALL from different vendors, so don't think it's just THIS particular one which is not very good - NONE of them last very long.i bought the first TWO from various folks here on Amazon - the first one i bought and put in my LG front-loader, lasted about two weeks - the second lasted about ONE week, and that's when i decided to WASTE the HORRENDOUS amount of money LG wanted for their "non-aftermarket OEM" pump.WELL - lemme tell ya folks - while the one directly from LG did have a warranty, the thing only lasted THREE WEEKS, whereas THIS ONE - the one i gave THREE STARS has lasted the longest. and the only reason i gave 3 stars is because of all the others i've bought, even directly from LG which did NOT last very long at all.now - these pumps in this LG machine i have ARE relatively simple to replace - BUT - WHO wants to have to replace one IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING A LOAD OF LAUNDRY? NOBODY that's who - but i've had to do that at least 3 times when buying these pumps.now - Amazon has always been really great about refunding/replacing - LG gave me a hassle about refunding my money, but in the end they did give me a full refund, which is when i bought THIS pump which i gave 3 stars, and i really HATE giving this one 3 - BUT - i wanted to make sure everyone who reads this reads ALL of what i've experienced, and here's the thing:the pump MOTOR on ALL the pumps i bought were fine - they MOTOR never gave out, it was working just fine when i had to replace them. it's the impeller which was the problem every-single-time.the impellers warp, and/or separate from the shaft, and there is NO visible reason for it, except the fact that they're inferior - and that goes for the "OEM" pump directly from LG.SO - basically - it's a "hit & miss" thing when buying one of these pumps, but MY advice to anyone who is looking for one - buy the CHEAPEST ONE you can find - install it, and in the interim, purchase ANOTHER one to have on hand. that's the best advice i can offer - buy TWO, and then if/when one of them goes bad, you'll have almost no "down-time".and BTW: if/when the impeller comes off the shaft, there is absolutely NO way to repair it.you can't force it back on, it will not stay, and i definitely wouldn't advise trying to GLUE it back on, because you'd stand a chance of clogging the drain line, and possibly screwing up the pump housing, and that'd be an added expense - so just buy pumps until you get a good one - just remember to find the CHEAPEST price, because being expensive does NOT mean you're getting a better one.

Washer went out. Code said water pump. Went online and watched video on how to replace . Ordered part (under $20). Arrived next day. Easy to replace. Recommend also expansion tool to put spring on

I brought this back in December of 2022 and 11 months later it's dead. I should have known because 1 week after installing the pump it started to make that horrible sound again. Find a good pump for your washing machine here is a crap shoot.
