A new amazing series coming your way
What do a hot shot lawyer and an Influencer have in common?Nothing – really? Because B.E. Baker found something. A will from a crazy uncle that says if you want to inherit my cattle ranch you need to uproot your life and move to live and operate it for 1 year. The Bequest is a women’s fiction story from the new series The Birch Creek Ranch by B. E Baker who also writes romance and fantasy. But different or not, then what one is used to if following her stories, she did not disappoint. Amanda and Abigail two widows who are sisters-in-law get to actually know each other. They couldn’t be more opposite in character and Baker makes that clear. Her character development is fantastic. The women have flaws and strength and the ability to look at each other and see each other in a light that is real. This quality of their character makes them relatable. And that is not where Baker stops. No, they have a total of 6 children between them and now need to run a cattle ranch with over 1,000 cattle. If you are a cowgirl or not the livelihood with which Baker describes her story makes you sit on that saddle yourself and taking every painful lesson.Baker’s writing style is fun, uplifting, humorous, exciting, but also suspenseful. This is what makes any book by B. E. Baker a page turning must read. And thankfully she is a fast writer so turnaround time between books is not that long because I know I will be getting ready to preorder my copy of the Vow.

Widows find romance in Utah
Abigail and Amanda have lost their spouses and are left to raise children alone. When they get the call that they lost a relative and that they must go work the ranch and complete tasks in order to keep it they find themselves traveling to Utah and adjusting to much different lifestyles than they are used to. The kids must learn to get to know each other and adapt as much as Abigail and Amanda have to. When you add in handsome, hardworking cowboy doctors and vets to the mix it makes for a great and well written romance. I loved the characters, the setting description makes you feel you're right along for the ride!

2 society widows have akadenings on Utah Ranch
This story is not off to a good start. In might be intentionally. I don’t like either of the recently widowed women. They are both social and economic snobs. The one whose son actively wants to become a mechanic has just totally insulted the entire community college system. Ok. It was intentional. This story is about the legal eagle perfect mom who is actually out of touch with her kids real wants and need; and the Internet influencer who looks down on herself but is begging to be liked. Required to move to a Utah cattle ranch for the summer they each end up upon their early return to society realizing their kids are wiser than they are and the ranch is where they all need to be. There is love and romance, but not sex. Very hard to decide how many stars.

Awesome Book!!!
I really enjoyed reading The Bequest(The Birch Creek Ranch Series Book 1)!!! All about Abigail Brooks a mother an attorney with four children & Amanda Brooks a mother who is a social media influencer with two children. Both women’s husbands have died of pancreatic cancer and they were brothers, making them sister-in-laws. Their husbands have inherited a bequest, but upon their deaths the bequest falls to their children. It entails the children and their guardians to live on the ranch and work all the jobs for one calendar year. If they default on the deal, all money from the ranch goes to alien research. Read about Abigail & Amanda and see what happens when they spend the summer on the ranch in Utah. Lots of emotion, crying and laughter occurs throughout the entire book!!! I can’t wait to read book 2!!! Definite Read!!!

Great story with one big problem
This was a really great story but the author gave the two main characters names that were so similar that I had a really difficult time who was who. (Amanda and Abigail). Also between them they had 6 kids and it was almost impossible to figure out who each kid belonged to. I am reading the second book now and I have to keep a piece of paper with me to remind me which main character is which and which child belongs to each mom. It was just so confusing. One of my other pet peeves is character names that do not make it clear if the character is a boy or girl. In this case Whitney and Emery both of whom were girls. It just makes the book harder to understand.

The Bequest
Wow, just wow! I absolutely loved this story. It’s about marriage, family, love, loss, renewal, change, resilience, and thriving. It’s about life! Ms. Baker brings authenticity to characters and situations. The emotions are real, raw, and touching. You’ll laugh and cry with this one. You’ll love it! What a great start to the series. These are characters worth the investment.

Amanda and Allison
A very interesting book. Two families trying to get on with their lives only to realize they aren’t exactly happy with their current lives. At least they are making the change

Wow.
I'm old school and the mix of genre's from movies I've seen over the years came through rather strong while reading his. The quaint charm of Little House on the Paraire, some of the male characters for sure. The cheek and calm wit of Gilmore girls shone through as well as mentioned in the book.I"m so used to fantasy and slow burn and everything other worldly that this was refreshing. If you are one of those folk who can visualise while someone is telling you a tale then jump on in. It's an epic read. I have neglected much whilst reading this and not an ounce of guilt to show for it.

change can be good
Change can be good even if we don’t like it. I moved my family to a ranch for the summer with great plans that the life I had planned would fall into place. I’m thinking my sister-in-law thought the same.
